If you have had female dwarf booty, nothing compares ;)

Okay, I finally got around to playing through a male DN origin. I liked the DNF origin so much better. It actually made it seem like you were something special instead of just another guy with a sword and when the Proving Master said the crowd wanted to see Adal Helmi 'put in her place'...God, I wanted to smack him. Why didn't we have the option of saying that if she were that skilled then it didn't matter that she was a woman?

Not to mention the difference in what Trian says if you agree to go right to the Feast (well, after winning the Proving first). If you're a girl he says that maybe Bhelen was right that you're not just useless breeding flesh and if you're a boy then he says that maybe Bhelen was right that you're not without regard for your duty and station. What the hell? If you're a girl he's actually more of a jerk if you DON'T antagonize him...

That was a compliment. Misogyny is still going strong in Orzammar!

He has to realize how back-handed that was. Well, either that or he's really that socially inept as to make sense why the Assembly and Orzammar in general is desperate to have anyone else on the throne, even DN that are as politically inept as soignee's.

The one to the male is also back-handed. And yes, he does not have the gift of social grace or speech. I don't know what he is good at to be honest, other than being a mediocre fighter.

TRIAN AND BHELEN IN NOBLE QUARTER

Bhelen:
"Atrast vala, big sister! How surprising to run into you out among the common folk." (Speaker is teasing his sibing; line is read with exaggerated cheer. Atrast vala=a-TRAST VA-la, hello, greetings)
Trian: "Especially since duty requires that you attend our king father at the feast today." (This is said accusingly, with a harsh edge.)
Trian: "Have you so little respect for him to disregard his wishes on a day set aside for you?" (This line is said with a great deal of disapproval and contempt, almost.)
Gorim: "Lord Harrowmont told me we wouldn't be needed for hours at least--" (The speaker is defending his superior from certain accusations.)
Trian: "Silence! If I want the opinion of my sibling's second, I will ask for it." (This is spoken harshly, with slight condescendation because he is speaking to someone of a lesser station.)
Gorim: "Yes, your Highness." (Subdued, apologetic.)

1. Don't speak to Gorim like that.
Trian: "I speak to lower houses and castes as they should be spoken to. Now do as I say." (Commanding and condescending; spoken to someone of a lesser station.)
1a. All right, I'm going. *Jump to Trian's response in line 2 below*
1b. Keep barking orders. I'm sure I'll care someday. *Jump to Trian's response in line 3 below*
1c. Bhelen, you want to jump in here? *Jump to Bhelen's response in line 4 below*

2. I will go to the feast right now, Trian. (SET: Trian_Understanding)
(IF: Female) Trian: "Perhaps you were right, Bhelen, when you said our sister wasn't all useless breeding flesh." (The speaker is being rather disdainful of sibling.)
(IF: Male) Trian: "Perhaps you were right, Bhelen, when you said our brother wasn't entirely without regard for his duty and station." (The speaker is being rather disdainful of sibling.)
Trian: "I'll be along later to toast your command."
Trian: "Come, Bhelen." (Brusquely, as though he were speaking to a dog or some other insignificant pet.)
(IF: Gorim_Humbled) Gorim: "..." (A sigh or some other sound that signals defeat and weariness.) *Go to
tree 2*

Gorim:
"That was fun. Nothing like being talked down
to by the next king." (Pure sarcasm. Some scorn directed at 'the next
king.') *Go to tree 2*

3. I go where I want, when I want, Trian.
Trian: "Your lack of a sense of duty to your house is obvious. I can't imagine why you are receiving a commission." (The speaker is being rather disdainful of sibling.)
Trian: "I expect after tomorrow I'll spend much time apologizing to the heads of the noble houses for the deaths of their children under your incompetent command." (This should be said coldly and quietly, in a scornful tone.)
Bhelen: "That's a bit harsh, isn't it, Trian?" (The speaker is trying to diffuse the tension between two siblings in this line. He is trying to be respectful of his older brother, but doesn't want to incur his wrath either.)
Trian: "As heir to the throne, it is my duty to impart wisdom and judgment upon those who need it." (Sanctimonious and preachy. Sounds self-important when he starts talking about how, as heir to the throne, it is his duty to boss people around.)
Trian: "Now then, you, get to the feast!" (He's being extremely bossy. His command is final and will brook no argument.) *Go to tree 1*

4. Bhelen, help me out here.
Bhelen: "You're on your own. I've been dealing with him all afternoon." (Slightly apologetic, perhaps some nervous laughter. The speaker is trying to make light of the situation.)
Trian: "What exactly is that supposed to mean, little brother?" (The speaker is trying to make his little brother defend his statement. His voice should sound slightly dangerous, slightly threatening.)
Bhelen: "Nothing, Trian. I've been having a great time. The speech you gave to the legless boy about hard work and making something of himself was fantastic..." (Speaker is back-pedaling like crazy, but with just a hint of sarcasm. He said something out of line and now must smooth things over with Trian before Trian does something nasty to him.)
Trian: "As heir to the throne, it is my duty to impart wisdom and judgment upon those who need it." (Sanctimonious and preachy. Sounds self-important when he starts talking about how, as heir to the throne, it is his duty to boss people around.)

TREE 1

1. Yes, brother.
Trian: "That's my proper, dutiful sister/brother." (Speaker is showing some grudging approval of his sibling.)
Trian: "I'll be along later to toast your command."
Trian: "Come, Bhelen." (Brusquely, as though he were speaking to a dog or some other insignificant pet.)
(IF: Gorim_Humbled) Gorim: "..." (A sigh or some other sound that signals defeat and weariness.) *Go to tree 2*
Gorim: "That was fun. Nothing like being talked down to by the next king." (Pure sarcasm. Some scorn directed at 'the next king.') *Go to tree 2*

2. I'll go when I'm ready.
Trian: "Stubborn, aren't you? When I'm king, I will help you get over that." (Speaker sounds extremely disapproving of his sibling. When he speaks about becoming king, he should sound a little smug, perhaps even a little threatening.)
Trian: "Come, Bhelen." (Brusquely, as though he were speaking to a dog or some other insignificant pet.)
(IF: Gorim_Humbled) Gorim: "..." (A sigh or some other sound that signals defeat and weariness.) *Go
to tree 2*
Gorim: "That was fun. Nothing like being talked down to by the next king." (Pure sarcasm. Some scorn directed at 'the next king.') *Go to tree 2*

3. It's cute how you think you can order me around.
Trian: "I'd advise you to watch that tongue, dear sibling. Father will not live forever." (Speaker is trying to not show
his anger, but is obviously threatening his sibling.)

4. Kiss my ass, Trian.
Trian: "I'd advise you to watch that tongue, dear sibling. Father will not live forever." (Speaker is trying to not show his anger, but is obviously threatening his sibling.)

TREE 2
1. Ignore him. It's my day, not his.
(IF: Gorim_Humbled) Gorim: "Of course, my lady/lord." (Respectful, deferential) *End dialogue*
Gorim: "That it is. Let's get back to enjoying it, shall we?" (Speaker is just trying to get on with his business, and is ready to put an unpleasant incident behind him.) *End dialogue*

2. He means well. (SET: Trian_Understanding)
(IF: Gorim_Humbled) Gorim: "Of course, my lady/lord." (Respectful, deferential) *End dialogue*
Gorim: "You always defend him. I wish I had your understanding..." (Respectufl and almost in awe) *End
dialogue*

3. Perhaps becoming king will calm Trian.
(IF: Gorim_Humbled) Gorim: "Of course, my lady/lord." (Respectful, deferential) *End dialogue*
Gorim: "We can only hope. Perhaps we should get going?" (Speaker is just trying to get on with his business, and is ready to put an unpleasant incident behind him.) *End dialogue*

(IF: Noble_Hunters_Recommended) 4. I didn't even get to tell him about the pretty girls.
Gorim: "Somehow I think Trian isn't in the mood for that sort of thing right now... or ever. Shall we?" (Speaker is making fun about Trian behind his back, implying that Trian does not have a sense of humour.) *End dialogue*

5. He's got to be alive to be king.
Gorim: "Perhaps this isn't the best place for that sort of talk. Shall we?" (The speaker is replying to a character who has just suggested that Trian may be assasinated before he becomes king. Gorim does not want to be caught speaking of such things, and would sound a little cautious, and try to change the subject quickly.) *End dialogue*

I'd SO rather be told he was reconsidering his opinion of me as not having any respect for my duty or station than that I was just useless breeding flesh. You have to wonder, if that's really how he views women, how he ended up with Jaylia Helmi. Maybe because she wanted to be Queen? I REALLY wish we could have met her...

And Trian's got to be good at something or else he would have been replaced as heir long ago. I've never fought him but all of the best warriors in Orzammar seem kind of mediocre compared to the DN so that's probably not a good way to tell. Maybe he's good at strategy? He kind of reminds me of Loghain at Ostagar and - even if we never saw it - he's supposed to be a genius as far as strategy went.

I know it makes Bhelen say 'I don't know how you put up with him' and a corresponding set of responses instead of 'I had to put up with that all day!' and a different set but I'm not sure if there's anything else.

Most women he would have seen probably flat out begged him to choose them, as he is pretty much king-to-be. That might be the source of seeing women as little more than baby-makers.

Strategy, possible good trait.

Yeah, I guess tactics is supposed to be what he excels in. Maybe he was instrumental in recovering the location Aeduncan Thaig?
Perhaps he even possessed an advanced understanding of politics, but his personality crippled him in regards to the subterfuge parts? Thato one i'm not sure of.

But the DN and Bhelen spent a lot of time around him, and they came out very exceptional in their own ways; so, there isnt some sort of ruinous stupidity about him.
They couldn't have just gone "lalalala" all those years, he had to have imparted something to them.

Even disregarding the obvious gameplay-mechanics behind it, I got the impression Piotin was much stronger than Trian. So it has to be tactics, since I don't see him having the time to concentrate so fully on combat like Piotin and DN would.

I love that he has the same reaction to you saying something nice about Trian as you getting nominated for Paragonhood...

Perhaps he even possessed an advanced understanding of politics, but his personality crippled him in regards to the subterfuge parts? Thato one i'm not sure of.

I kind of doubt that. I mean, he seems to trust Bhelen completely and ignore him as a potential threat (even if he comes off as harmless he should still watch out for him. Maybe that's why he makes him follow him around, though?) and is outraged when the DN decides to kill him, which is a hallmark of dwarven politics. Not to mention that you don't have to be the most charming person around to realize it might behoove you not to openly insult everyone.

He probably received lots of death glares from both Bhelen and the DN over the years that he completely ignored. Maybe if he was more perceptive rather than oddly disciplinary some things would've turned out different for him.

New theory: Trian's become so accustomed to all of these death glares over the years that he simply doesn't notice them anymore and doesn't realize when he's seriously insulted someone!

ENDRIN WANTS TO SEE YOU OMGZ

Trian: "So, you are a commander now. In name at least." (Confrontational, challenging. The speaker is questioning his sibling's fitness to be a commander of the armies.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(IF: Has_Knife_Equipped)
Trian: "Wait--what's that you're wearing? That dagger?" (Surprise, curiousity, a little foreboding.)
1. Father wants to see you, Trian.
Trian: "Of course he does. We must discuss strategy before tomorrow's battle." (Self-important, a little smug.)
Trian: "Bhelen, stay here and stroke the new commander's conceit if you like, but then get to bed." (Extremely patronizing and dismissive. As though he was speaking to a child or something) *Go to tree 1*
2. A gift, made for me by a loyal subject.
Trian: "I told that man not to presume to bribe House Aeducan. If your favor is bought so cheaply, it is your own shame." (Speaker is being extremely critical of sibling's actions.)
Trian: "You should be attending our father at today's feast, not gossiping with second-rate smiths!" (Anger, disapproval, because the speaker knows what the dagger means: that his sibling has taken a bribe from a smith. He feels it reflects badly on the family.)
2a. Father wants to see you, Trian. *Go to line 1*
2b. You two were not at the feast. *Go to No_Knife, line 2*
2c. Bhelen, how was your day? *Go to No_Knife, line 3*

3. A gift you were supposed to tell me about.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(IF: No_Knife)
Trian: "Shouldn't you be attending our king father?" (Impatience. Speaker is trying to get his bothersome sibling to leave him alone.)
1. Father wants to see you, Trian.  *Go to line 3a*

2. You two were not at the feast.
Trian: "The world does not stop and start with your meager achievements. Not even tonight." (Speaker is being condescending and dismissive of his sibling.)
Trian: "Now, do you have some purpose in bothering us?" (Impatient.)
2a. Father wants you. *Go to line 3a*
2b. Father is worried you're too much of an ass to be prince. *Go to line 3b*

3. Bhelen, how was your day?
Bhelen: "Interesting. I would have been at the feast, but Trian had need of me..." (A little weary, but a neutral tone.)
Trian: "The world does not stop and start with your meager achievements. Not even tonight." (Speaker is being condescending and dismissive of his sibling.)
Trian: "Now, do you have some purpose in bothering us?" (Impatient.)

TREE 1 - Bhelen talk
--------------------------------
(IF: Trian_Understanding)

Bhelen
: "I honestly don't know how you put up with him." (Trian has left, and the speaker is free to express his opinions of him. He's tired of Trian and it should show.)
1. Hes not that bad.
Bhelen: "There was a time I would have agreed with you, but I've recently had to rethink my views on our brother. (Speaker seems very weary of his elder brother's antics and has lost any respect he once had for him.) *Go to tree 2, lines 1, 2, or 3*

2. My patience is beginning to wear thin.
Bhelen: "And what I'm going to tell you next won't make you any more fond of him." *Go to tree 2*

3. Smile, nod, do my duty.
Bhelen: "I wish that sense of duty and family loyalty was shared by our elder brother." (Speaker seems very weary of his elder brother's antics and has lost any respect he once had for him.) *Go to tree 2, lines 1, 2, or 3*
------------------------------------------------------------
(IF: NOT Trian_Understanding)
Bhelen: "All day I've put up with that. He can really grate on the nerves." (Trian has left, and the speaker is free to express his opinions of him. He's tired of Trian and it should show.)
1. I agree.
Bhelen:
"And what I'm going to tell you next won't make you any more fond of him." (Speaker is warning his sibling. He should sound a little conspiratorial.) *Go to tree 2*

(IF: Trian_Scheming) 2. I'm just waiting for the right time to get rid of him.
Bhelen: "Well, time is something you may not have much of left." (Speaker has been told that one of his siblings is waiting for the right time to get rid of their older brother. This should be said with a note of warning.) *Go to tree 2*

3. Well, he's our elder brother. I suppose it's his right.
Bhelen: "Is it also his right to secure his own power at the expense of everyone around him?" (Speaker is warning his sibling. He should sound a little conspiratorial. This is actually the beginning of an elaborate set-up -- Bhelen is trying to trick the player into killing Trian in "self-defense," or failing that, to frame him for the murder. That way Bhelen can take the throne. This whole conversation should have an undertone of conspiracy in it because of this.) *Go to tree 2*

1. What are you talking about?
Bhelen: "Trian has begun to move against you." (Conspiratorial, lowers his voice to a whisper)
Bhelen: "I never thought his much-proclaimed honor would allow him to actually act on his
jealousy." (Sad acceptance. Speaker is grudgingly acknowledging that their older brother is a power-hungry jerk.)
Bhelen: "Big sister, Trian is going to try to kill you." (Serious, low voice, quietly. This should be said really clearly so there is emotional impact. However he is also plotting and doesn't want anyone to overhear him. Whispered.) *Go to tree 3*

2. Is this something I want to hear?
Bhelen: "Probably not, but you need to all the same." (Serious, foreboding.)
Bhelen: "Trian has begun to move against you." (Conspiratorial, lowers his voice to a whisper)

3. You sound serious, Bhelen.
Bhelen: "Unfortunately, I am." (Serious.)

4. Get to the point, Bhelen.
Bhelen: "Big sister, Trian is going to try to kill you." (Serious, low voice, quietly. This should be said really clearly so there is emotional impact. However he is also plotting and doesn't want anyone to overhear him. Whispered.) *Go to tree 3*

TREE 3
1. What?
Bhelen: "I wouldn't have believed it myself if I hadn't overheard him giving orders to his men." (Serious, little sadness, low whisper)
Bhelen: "Trian's decided you're a threat to his taking the throne. Maybe he's right." (Should sound supportive of the person he's speaking to. Low whisper.)
1a. This is insane. I refuse to discuss this. *Go to tree 4, line 1*
1b. True. Trian's a pompous ass and everyone likes me better. *Jump to Bhelen's response in tree 4, line 2*
1c. I'm not the heir, he is!
Bhelen: "Trian's the named prince, but only the Assembly can proclaim a king." *Jump to Bhelen's response in tree 4, line 2*
1d. How am I a threat to Trian? *Jump to Bhelen's response in tree 3, line 3*

2. How do you know?
Bhelen: "I overheard him giving orders to some of his men, and I was shocked. Then it began to make sense."
Bhelen: "Trian's decided you're a threat to his taking
the throne. Maybe he's right." (Should sound supportive of the person he's speaking to. Low whisper.)
1a. This is insane. I refuse to discuss this. *Go to tree 4, line 1*

1d. How am I a threat to Trian? *Jump to Bhelen's response in tree 3, line 3*

3. He recognizes I'm a threat. Good.
Bhelen: "He fears what you are becoming, in the eyes of the people and the Assembly." (The speaker is trying to explain clearly how the person he's speaking to is a great threat to the heir and why he might have him killed. This should be really serious, but also intrigue the listener.)
Bhelen: "Trian's the named prince, but only the Assembly can proclaim a king."
Bhelen: "It would be unusual for the Assembly to ignore the king's choice, but it does happen." (Serious, speaker should also sound a little urgent, and may be a little nervous in case someone overhears him.)
(IF: Gorim_NOT_humbled) Gorim: "The founder of House Bemot became a Paragon and king in one move from the Assembly, and he was a commoner." (The speaker here is agreeing with someone bringing up a relevant point. He should sound like something has just dawned on him.)
(IF: Gorim_humbled) Bhelen: "The first Aeducan king wasn't even part of the house's leading family." (Speaker is explaining the situation. He should sound a little urgent, maybe a little nervous.)
Bhelen: "That was an extraordinary case. But at least a half-dozen times, the Assembly named a lesser family member--or even someone from another house--as king."
(IF: Female) Bhelen: "Twice, it was a woman." (Speaker is here making the point that the person he's speaking to is likely to be chosen over Trian, the heir-apparent, giving Trian a motive to kill. This should be said in a tone that basically says "Here's Trian's motive; you're It.")
(IF: Male) Bhelen: "Usually it's the popular younger brother of an undesirable prince." (Speaker is here making the point that the person he's speaking to is likely to be chosen over Trian, the heir-apparent, giving Trian a motive to kill. This should be said in a tone that basically says "Here's Trian's motive; you're It.") *Go to tree 5*

4. That seems a little far-fetched.
Bhelen: "I wouldn't have believed it myself if I hadn't overheard him giving orders to his men."
Bhelen: "Trian's decided you're a threat to his taking the throne. Maybe he's right." (Should sound supportive of the person he's speaking to. Low whisper.)

4d. How am I a threat to Trian? *Jump to Bhelen's response in tree 3, line 3*

TREE 4
1. This is insane. I refuse to discuss this.
Bhelen: "You are as noble and stubborn as ever. After Trian kills you, I suppose I will be the heir. But that's not how I would wish it." (Disappointment at his sibling's stubbornness. He makes it clear he is reluctant to be heir.)
Bhelen: "Enjoy your command tomorrow. I fear it will be short-lived." (There should be foreboding in this statement.)
Gorim: "Come, my lady/lord." (Comforting, friendly, warm. The speaker is trying to assure the character that everything will be all right.)
Gorim: "The hour grows late, and you need your rest."
1a. Tomorrow should prove most interesting.
Gorim: "That it should." (Friendly, warm, agreeable)
(IF: Noblehunters_Waiting) Gorim: "Let's go. You don't want to keep those lovely ladies waiting." (Sly, sort of a wink-wink, nudge-nudge statement.) *End dialogue*
(IF: Noblehunter_waiting) Gorim: "Let's go. You don't want to keep your companion waiting." *End dialogue*
Gorim: "May the Paragons smile down on us." (Speaker is trying to comfort the character so he/she feels safe) *End dialogue*
1b.  Rest, then glory.
(IF: Noblehunters_Waiting) Gorim: "Let's go. You don't want to keep those lovely ladies waiting." (Sly, sort of a wink-wink, nudge-nudge statement.) *End dialogue*
Gorim: "May the Paragons smile down on us." (Speaker is trying to comfort the character so he/she feels safe) *End dialogue*
1c. I may sleep with my sword tonight.
Gorim: "And I will be right outside the door." (Speaker is trying to comfort the character so he/she feels safe)
(IF: Noblehunters_Waiting) Gorim: "Maybe... a little farther outside the door. You probably don't want me listening in..." (Speaker is referring to the character having female company that night. He is trying to make light of the situation, teasing his friend a little.) *End dialogue*
Gorim: "May the Paragons smile down on us." (Speaker is trying to comfort the character so he/she feels safe) *End dialogue*

2. True. Trian's a pompous ass and everyone likes me better.
Bhelen: "It would be unusual for the Assembly to ignore the king's choice, but it does happen."
(IF: Gorim_NOT_humbled) Gorim: "The founder of House Bemot became a Paragon and king in one move from

explaining the situation. He should sound a little urgent, maybe a little nervous.)
Bhelen: "That was an extraordinary case. But at least a half-dozen times, the Assembly named a lesser
family member--or even someone from another house--as king."
(IF: Female) Bhelen: "Twice, it was a woman." (Speaker is here making the point that the person he's speaking
to is likely to be chosen over Trian, the heir-apparent, giving Trian a motiveto kill. This should be said in a tone that basically says "Here's Trian's motive; you're It.")

3. I'm not the heir, he is!
Bhelen: "Trian's the named prince, but only the Assembly can proclaim a king." *Jump to Bhelen's response in tree 4, line 2*

4. How am I a threat to Trian? *Jump to Bhelen's response in tree 3, line 3*

TREE 5
1. So Trian thinks the Assembly would prefer me?
Bhelen: "Look at it from his perspective. You're more personable then he's ever been." (The speaker is being patient while explaining things. At the same time, he's also doing a little ass kissing, but it's not very obvious.)
(IF: Proving_Honor_Death) Bhelen: "You slaughtered the heir to House Dace, one of the most powerful houses in Orzammar, because his father dared to challenge your house's honor." (Speaker is trying to convince this character that he is a serious threat to the heir to the throne, and he is doing this by flattering him and using character's recent act as proof. This statement should be said with some awe.)
(IF: Proving_Fought) Bhelen: "You entered the Provings held in your own honor just for glory and to please the crowds."
Bhelen: "If you win glory against the darkspawn tomorrow, it will only strengthen the case for you as the next heir."
Bhelen: "Trian fears Father will replace him on the spot. If not, the Assembly will surely turn against him when Father dies." (Conspiratorial whispers. Speaker is trying to get the player in on his schemes and is trying to convince him that Trian is a threat.)
Bhelen: "You know his pride will never allow him to step aside."  *Go to tree 6*

2. . Well, I would make a good ruler.
(IF: Proving_Honor_Death) Bhelen:"You slaughtered the heir to House Dace, one of the most powerful
houses in Orzammar, because his father dared to challenge your house's honor." (Speaker is trying to convince this character that he is a serious threat to the heir to the throne, and he is doing this by flattering him and using character's recent act as proof. Bhelen:"You know his pride will never allow him to step aside."  *Go to tree 6*

3. Enough, I won't listen to this.
Bhelen: "You can't turn a blind eye to this! Your life is in serious danger!" (Speaker is warning his sibling. Extremely insistent.)
3a. So Trian thinks the Assembly would prefer me? *Go to tree 5, line 1*
3b. Does Trian think I'm courting the Assembly? *Go to tree 5, line 4*
3c. I said I won't listen to this sort of talk! *Go to tree 4, line 1*

4. Does Trian think I'm courting the Assembly?
Bhelen: "Look at it from his perspective. You're more personable then he's ever been." (The speaker is being patient while explaining things. At the same time, he's also doing a little ass kissing, but it's not very obvious.)
(IF: Proving_Honor_Death) Bhelen: "You slaughtered the heir to House Dace, one of the most powerful houses in Orzammar, because his father dared to challenge your house's honor." (Speaker is trying to convince this

Bhelen: "You know his pride will never allow him to step aside."  *Go to tree 6*

TREE 6 - Decision time
1. What should I do?
Bhelen: "You're the elder. I'll follow your lead, as always." (Submissive, respectful)
1a. Gorim, what do you say?
Gorim: "Permission to speak freely?" (Respectful, questioning, a little nervous because he knows he is going to say something that could be considered treasonous.)
1a-1: Of course, my friend. *Go to response a few lines down*
1a-2: I asked, didn't I?  *Go to response a couple lines down*
1a-3: Just spit it out.
Gorim: "Trian would be a terrible king, but no one wants to say it." (Having been given permission to speak freely, the speaker lets it all out. He could be almost relieved to be able to get it off his chest, finally.)
Gorim: "He has just enough backing in the Assembly to make it ugly when your father dies, but not enough to become king." (Speaker knows he is going to suggest that the heir to the throne be killed, and he's trying to rationalize why this is a good idea.)
Gorim: "Killing him now makes your house stronger now and saves a great deal of bloodshed later." (This should be said somewhat nervously, like he doesn't really want this to be true but knows that it is.)
1a-3a: Very well, Trian dies. *Go to tree 6, line 2*
1a-3b: We'll wait. See what Trian does. *Go to tree 6, line 1b-2*
1a-3c: No. I won't fight a brother. *Go to tree 6, line 3*
1b. If I strike at Trian, will you back me?
Bhelen: "Of course. You've always been there for me." (Respectful and reassuring. A little greasy almost.)
1b-1: Then our family is going to be smaller by one. *Go to Bhelen's response in tree 6, line 2*
1b-2: We'll wait. See what he does.
Bhelen: "Very well. I'll keep my eyes open." (Resignation, respecting the other person's decision.) *Go to Bhelen's second line in tree 6, line 3*
1c. Then ... Trian dies.
Bhelen: "I... I'm with you." (Nervousness, because they are scheming to kill their older brother.) *Go to Bhelen's second response in tree 6, line 2.*
1d. Then we wait. See what Trian does.
Bhelen: "Very well. I'll keep my eyes open." (Resignation, respecting the other person's decision.) *Go to
Bhelen's second line in tree 6, line 3*

2. Trian needs to die.
Bhelen: "I'm afraid I must agree with you." (Slight relief that the other character was the one that brought it up, not him.)
(SET: Bhelen_MurderPlot) Bhelen: "Tomorrow's battle is the time to do it. I'll find out the rendezvous and buy you the time to do what must be done."
Bhelen: "I'm taking your place as Father's second, so I'll be at hand tomorrow." (Warm and reassuring.)
Bhelen: "For now, try to get some sleep."
(IF: Noblehunters_Waiting) Gorim: "Let's go. You don't want to keep those lovely ladies waiting." (Sly, sort of a wink-wink, nudge-nudge statement.) *End dialogue*
Gorim: "May the Paragons smile down on us." (Speaker is trying to comfort the character
so he/she feels safe) *End dialogue*

3. I won't fight Trian.
Bhelen: "You're my elder. I'll respect any decision you make, but please, be careful." (Respect is being shown here, a little ass kissery)
(IF: Female) Bhelen: "I don't want to lose my dearest sister." (Wheedling almost. He makes it sound like becoming heir is like eating worms or something unpleasant.)
(IF: Male) Bhelen: "I don't want to lose the brother I actually like." (Wheedling almost. He makes it sound like becoming heir is like eating worms or something unpleasant.)
3a. I am glad for your concern, Bhelen. Thank you.
Bhelen: "You're welcome." (Respectful)
Bhelen: "I'm taking your place as Father's second, so I'll be at hand tomorrow." (Warm and reassuring)
Bhelen: "For now, try to get some sleep."
(IF: Noblehunters_Waiting) Gorim: "Let's go. You don't want to keep those lovely ladies waiting." (Sly, sort of a wink-wink, nudge-nudge statement.) *End dialogue*
Gorim: "May the Paragons smile down on us." (Speaker is trying to comfort the character so he/she feels safe) *End dialogue*
3b. Trian won't do anything stupid.
Bhelen: "I hope you're right, but my heart says this will end badly." (Sadness, disappointment, a little forboding.)
3c. You worry too much.
Bhelen: "One of us has to." (In response to being told he worries too much. Speaker might be saying this in an almost joking way.)

4. What's your angle in this?
Bhelen: "It seems Trian has shown that brothers can't always be trusted." (Serious, thoughtful, hinting at danger.)
Bhelen: "I am next in line. If Trian succeeds in his plot against you, how long do you think I'll live?" (There is a hint of desperation in the end of this statement, like he really thinks he might be next in line on the chopping block.)
4a. What should I do? *Go to tree 6, line 1*
4b. Gorim, what do you say? *Go to tree 6, line 1a*
4c. If I strike at Trian, will you back me? *Go to tree 6, line 1b*
4d. I won't fight Trian. *Go to tree 6, line 3*

(IF: Trian_Understanding) Bhelen: "I honestly don't know how you put up with him." (Trian has left, and the speaker is free to express his opinions of him. He's tired of Trian and it should show.)

Is this the only time 'Trian_Understanding' comes up?
