Man, don't read mine then lalallala
ALSO.
Dreaming and dwarves; Awakenings has confused me somewhat on this, can anyone remember what Oghren said about the Fade sequencey bits in the expac again?

Dwarves seem to dream though, since Oghren dreamed even before the joining.

Well, if we're going to have to kill him, it may as well be epic.thegreateski wrote…

BTW, Sarah scares me. In the other thread about executing Alistair while in a romance, Sarah says she did that with her dwarf noble and she was just so matter-of-fact and logical about it. LOL. I can't wait to see what her perspective is when we get a dwarf romance. =p
lawl. I think she hates my stuff WHAT IS THIS ROMANCE CRAP IN MY POLITICS GET OUT. *hides smut fic and drawings from view*
ADMIT IT SARAH, ROMANCE IS FUN. DON'T LIE TO ME, BB. THERE'S NO DENYING SOME INTERRACIAL LOVINGS, IT'S FOR THE GOOD OF FERELDEN DIPLOMACY.
I don't see what's so scary about it. Aunn was raised in Orzammar where killing rivals is a way of life. Her father killed his brother to get the throne, her brother had her other brother killed and her framed to get the throne, and she's more annoyed that she got thrown to darkspawn than anything else. If Alistair won't take the throne through marriage to Anora (because Anora can be a capable ruler now and Alistair will have to learn how to later and in the meantime can make any number of catastrophic mistakes) because he's in love with her then the only thing to do is kill him. The most out of character thing about that is that she would even romance a human in the first place, but it was just about the timing. He confessed so soon after Gorim told her he was married...she didn't intend on him falling in love. Besides, if she either personally killed her brother or stood back and watched as her father's trusted advisor who saved her life was executed then why would Alistair be any different? Aunn has no romantic sentiment, I swear...
If they ever have a dwarf romance...well, that would really depend. Is it a surface dwarf or a dwarf like Oghren who never wants to go back to Orzammar? Her priorities are kind of 1) Orzammar 2) House Aeducan and 3) Everything Else so if it looked like they were going to not work back home, well, it's just not going to happen, even if they were a dwarf. She tried that once and look how that ended up.
And I don't hate your stuff, Soignee, I just have no interest in writing a romance story myself as Aunn really does have other things to worry about such as getting around that pesky exile...

Re: How many ways can Zev die debate -- The spirit of my original question was whether or not CZ had the fortitude to kill off a romantic interest. He answered it. I was merely using Zev as an example, not actually discussing gameplay mechanics.

How old was everyones dwarf when they first killed someone? I imagine mine was probably 12-14. Like some samurai, he would've been expected to be capable of decapitating someone, without fail, at a young cage. This was done by having them practice on criminals.
So, what probably happened was a casteless committed some crime, suffered his punishment (flogging or whatever), and then, whoever oversaw his training had the young prince come in a behead the person with a sword. Sometime after that, more casteless would've been lined up and beheaded until the technique was passable and any hesitation/fear of killing someone was gone.

Killed personally? Hm, I don't know. I know that Aunn was seven when a cook mistakenly served one of her imported cats for dinner and she had him killed but she was very fond of that cat and had seen so much poor (to say the least) treatment of the lower caste by that point that it didn't occur to her until she'd been on the surface for awhile that that was a bad thing to do (from her companions reactions upon hearing this really as no one she grew up with had a problem with it) although she realized it was an overreaction a lot earlier. How old was everyones dwarf when they first killed someone?
I don't think she really ever lowered herself to personally executing people (why do that when you can contact assassins, have your second do it, or have them arrested to be officially executed?) so her first literal kill would have been in battle.

Yeah, it can stay in my head until a later date. IDK, perhaps. I've already plotted out a reason why Missa was a thug and not 'hore also, but I've not found a place to put it in yet. Missa isn't exactly a "yes let us sit down and talk abot our feelings now" kind of person.

Chaotic Neutral, all fun characters are. She might be going towards chaotic good as the story progresses though.
Well, neutral evil characters are great too (Bhelen would probably be that).

What you going to do with the anvil Missa?
I'm leaning towards destroying it, as it makes some delicious casteless angst, especially when you discover what they did to make golems.

I haven't been able to bring myself to not destroy it once (although whether I side with Branka or Caridin depends on the playthrough) because Branka feels feeding her entire House including her love to darkspawn is a rational decision and she'll be in charge of operating it, Harrowmont can't be counted on to be strong enough to stop her, and Bhelen is kind of evil. I'm not against the idea of the Anvil on a strictly volunteer basis but I sure as hell don't trust these people not to misuse it.soignee wrote...

Bhelen actually makes using the anvil illegal and immediately tries to stop Branka when she starts pissing him off, unlike Harrowmont who allows the conflict to escallate to the surface.
I trust Bhelen fully to not let her get out of hand. Paragon Shmaragon, he doesn't care, he would bring her down or at the very least keep her contained.

You mean the same anvil that was used to make Dwarf Nobles Golems? I would think she would be taking a liking to that heh. Not that she cares much for the other castless that is ( or so I get the impression ).
The anvil doesn't serve any purpose in grander purpose of things, expect that you get some golems in the final battle, which are quite great.
I bet you are going to make Bhelen king, save the Circle. I do wonder however what are you going to do with Loghain? I see you already hardened Alistair.
