he tries but he could never pull off such a brilliant Xanatos gambit like, say, the entire DN origin

But then you don't get to be righteously indignant and then go make yourself feel better by going straight from there to the Pearl for a foursome and then not leaving for a week!ejoslin wrote...
This thread is missing dwarf kisses. (just the vanilla kiss slightly tweaked by me)

Anyway, yeh, I think Bhelen looks a lot like Alistair as well. I wish Gorim were romanceable to a greater extent than a dumping in Denerim (though my Aeducan does like to tell him about her new love BEFORE said dumping).
Meh, that was Flemeth. Morrigan is just a copy-cat.
I don't quite get the Sweeney placement but then I've only played the Mage origin once and didn't get him to sign off on that form. Is it his 'feel free to harass the Templars kid' approach that does it? And the fact his being old, despite its continual reference, isn' as obnoxious as Wynne's? What I can't for the life of me understand is why Leske and his terrified-of-Beraht-and-Jarvia-sister-lusting-backstabbing ways rates higher than Gorim?!?! He'll have people killed just for ticking you off!Herr Uhl wrote...

And yeah, even if he wasn't in the game much and was too injured to come with you, I wish he would have stayed single so if you had the self-control to do the same you could have a few lines about picking up where you left off once you get back to Orzammar now that he's an Aeducan as well so no more fear of scandal and assassination.

Ditto. If you go to Denerim first (just to see how bad the GW rep really is, of course...ejoslin wrote...
Really, I was hurt on my first Aeducan that he didn't wait. Denerim was the first place I went on her, really looking forward to the reunion (yes, I should have known better).

You would have to save Isabela for later, though, as Zevran's not there and Leliana and Alistair aren't hardened by that point.
I believe they're referring to Senior Enchanter Sweeney, the absent professor guy in the mage origin.Costin_Razvan wrote...

You know, between this and your hatred of Teagan I'm starting to think you just go out of your way to hate on all the awesome guys. I forget, what makes you think he's a brown-noser? If it's the 'ignoring his wife and kid at the post-coronation' I presume they'll be coming back, too, and why can't an exile be thrilled to be able to return home, especially if (as the toolset indicates) that's unprecedented for Orzammar? And why not offer to be your second again? At this point he's the only one in Orzammar you know you can trust and your House either hates you for killing anyone reasonably important and kicking them off the throne or you have to keep an eye out for Bhelen deciding you're a threat again. The problem with Gorim is the brown stuff that is all over his nose.
Sweeney is one of the senior enchanters at the Circle Tower during the Mage origin who manages to talk about how old he is without being annoying and who can sign off on giving you a fire rod to go annoy the Templars.Who is Sweeney? Maybe I am missing something here....
That's what skipping over all her dialogue to get her high enough to harden her is for, too. And you could just wait until Zevran has the highest approval he's get before Talisen shows up again before finding Isabela. It's not like the Duelist specialization is locked at this point, right? That's what ZevranASAP is for! But I admit, I more often play cards with Isabela at this point. Leliana is too annoying to get her to love, and Zevran's approval raises too fast as it is!

I still have flashbacks from that one time I tried to catch her cheating or beat her at cards wihout high enough dexterity OR Zevran in my party. It did not go well...ejoslin wrote...

Hasn't been locked since the first threesome with Isabela, Alistair, and my PCBut you're right. I do esc through most of Lel's dialog at this point -- but still, hmmmmmm. I like the card game! I'm just weird that way.
I just don't see someone as Teagan willing to ****** off/hurt his brother that much over ISOLDE of all people. Maybe if he had a less annoying wife I might be able to see it.I don't hate Gorim, I like him. But the tone that he speaks to you in is too obsequious for me, he always agrees with you. I know that it's his job and all, but it feels a little forced at times. I still love him, but not more than Leske.
Teagan I hate though. But that is due to my conviction that he sleeps with Isolde behind Eamon's back.

And if Gorim were really just a brown-noser why wouldn't he turn on you once it was clear that you were screwed? His testimony as your uber-loyal second would surely damn you and I'm sure he and Bhelen could have worked out a deal.
And what's with the Leske admiration? What did he ever do that was awesome OR badass ever? And you want to talk about brown-nosing what about him and Jarvia?
It's the DN-mindset.Herr Uhl wrote...
He doesn't suck up to your character, that is why I see him as superior (by a small margin). He sees you as an equal, not his boss.
And you are really defensive about Gorim.

And Leske betraying you and then dismissing it with a 'oh, you'd have done the same' and trying to kill you on Jarvia's orders just really got to me. Of course HE say you as an equal: you were both low-level casteless carta thugs. With Gorim, he's a warrior serving as your second and you're the prince/princess. At least he can stay conscious in your presence?
