Is there any option to mention the proof to Bhelen? And what does the DN baby-mama have to say?

I'm not seeing anything that acknowledges the "proof" to Bhelen or Dulin. It might be redundant since the player is already bickering with Dulin about Bhelen framing the DN and such.

I did learn something new (you probably already knew this) -- if you tell Harrowmont you'll side with him, but you then switch to Bhelen (by approaching Vartag), there's this long back-and-forth dialogue of arguing with Wynne. Same thing for Sten. Shale will make snarky comments here and there.

the baby mamma is a bit rude.. She says they turned her away and she hasnt eaten in several days; you then have the option of giving her one or 10 sovereigns. She is annoyed/disappointed/not surprised if just give her one, but elated and supposedly uses the money go buy food/baby stuff if you give her ten.

She gives no illusion to loving you, and there aren't any dialouge options that treat her as something more.

after its all said and done, you can either name the boy Endrin, Trian, Duncan, Gorim or make him a junior..

Gilsa: The dialog is used in the game, if you choose to go Dulin after completing the first quest for Bhelen, but before killing Jarvia.

Didn't screen shot it, but my dwarf commoner romanced Zevran. She's actually not that much shorter than him, so the scene looks good. It fits well.

I played my Aeducan as an airheaded party girl with only a vague concept of knowing some things. They used to give nobility instant officer positions in English armies back in the day despite them having brains of the flies and more used to playing bridge in sitting rooms then, you know, leading and commanding men. I reasoned she could be given a position of power just because of her name.

Yeah, "daddy's favourite" indeed, especially when she actually started to be good at fighting and stabbing things. That's my Aeducan, too stupid to know politics and finidng it tiresome, too arrogant to think Bhelen would ever play her and that she's anything less then loved. Silly cow, seriously.

lol, I played my male noble the other way around.  Completely without knowledge (first time through the DN, hadn't read spoilers) I was mega-suspicious of Bhelen and really frustrated that I couldn't do anything about it.  I /knew/ the bastard was setting me up.

Started my first dwarf commoner play.

Jadia, she is a bit of a hommage to Jack from ME2.

Jadia = Awesome. Ummm, can I ask a stupid question? How do I take screen shots? When I press my print screen (or whatever) button, it doesn't do anything.

I find the Print Screen in DA to be sporadic at best for taking screenshots, sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't take any. I use Fraps.

I totally know what Fraps is:whistle:, but why don't you explain it for people who might not know lol

Edit: Also, my new avatar is my DN, Bolana Aeducan. I don't really think my avatar does her justice though, I think she is quite pretty.

Oh sorry.

Its a screenshot/movie recording program. You can download a free version, if you like it you can buy the full program. I eventually bought it. Comes with lifetime upgrades. I don't believe there is any time limit on the free version, it just doesn't do quite as much as the full.

Thanks! I'm kind of stupid about stuff like that, I've only taken screen shots on Oblivion and Sims.

Ok fellow dwarf lovers.... which orgiin should I play?

I made a FDN and FDC..... and I really like em a lot... the DN is a sword n' board and the DC is a rogue...... I already have another rogue profile going almost end game....

Play noble or commoner? I like the 'rags to riches' part but being called your highness and then losing it all was so cool too...

The "bring the evidence" dialogue? Interesting. Thanks! I didn't jump back and forth between the two much so it's surprising how much variation there can be.

@MutantSpleen -- <3 Jack!! That would have been funny if there was a mod for full body tattoos.

And re: the fraps discussion -- I really resisted getting fraps for the longest time because I thought it was dumb that I needed a third party program just to have screenshots enabled (grrr to Mass Effect). I am really glad I went ahead and downloaded fraps. (The free version just limits you to BMP format. You'd have to pay for the full version for JPG, PNG, TGA, etc.) Not only was I getting pictures of Commander Shepard at long last, but I noticed how much better my dragon age screenshots were with fraps. If I use the default screenshot button that comes with dragon age, the images came out really dark and there would be this slight lag while the game was taking pictures. With fraps, it was absolutely smooth -- did not affect my game and the pictures were so much better. It was absolutely worth paying for the full version of fraps.

I personally prefer the noble, but I think coming back to Orzammar as a commoner and being the person who decides who is king is pretty awesome. I guess it depends on what style you want to play, warrior or rogue?

I liked Orzammar more as a DN because even after you become a GW, some people still call you a brand and say they've got their eye on you and if you want any real choice about who to pick you've really got to be DN. I actually liked Bhelen better as a DN because every time you saw him as a DC he was talking about Rica and I hated that he was using her to try and ensure cooperation. The Leske betrayal was really sad, though, and I did like that you could talk about it with Rica, if only a little.

@cypher -- Hard to say. They're both completely different experiences.

Noble = Gorim romance and he says the sweetest things to you every time you click on him in Denerim plus he buys your items at a significant mark-up. I don't know exactly the difference, but I think you get double what you'd normally get with any other vendor.

Commoner = BEST Duncan reaction of all origins, the way he reacts to your dwarf when he realizes that you're the recruit he's been looking for all along. You get great lines from Rica when you ask to talk to her before leaving. ("Go. Tell Duncan you're ready to be something more than a ****'s little sister.")

I don't recall a lot of situations in which people will acknowledge whether or not you're a noble or commoner. They'll just react to you being a dwarf period. Dwyn, the dwarf in Redcliffe, will react differently to you based on being a brand or noble. Oghren, when you ask him if he misses Orzammar, will have different answers based on if you're a noble or commoner. Trying to think of what else I'm missing ... hmm.

The first character I finished the game was a DN who was with Gorim. As the first character, I also jumped on the first romance that appeared: Alistair, who was very sweet and lovely and then decided he was going to kill himself on the roof. There was something strange about that, wandering back down to the gathering and no one's all 'well, must have sucked to lose your boyfriend when you planned to die for him', and Gorim seemed to not care less about the wife who he spoke of so highly before, so then I figured the whole thing was just some bizarre fling. "Well, that was a really weird year. Let's go back home and get married now, Gorim: Harrowmont owes me way too much to say no at this point in time. Huzzah! Alistair who?'

Also through dialouge choices with Bodahn you can distinguish yourself as a Noble.

Sounds like a plan. Image IPB
Hey, what does the toolset say about when you sneak-support Bhelen and hand him the crown at the last second? He's insisting you can't be trusted because you're a murdering exile one minute and then he actually loses his composure when you - sorry, the Paragon Branka/Caridin - choose him.

No, that lies with the program you're using to view pictures. Do you have "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" installed on your computer? It's the default program for my computer and I can see BMP on it just fine, but I use ACDSee Photo Manager (paid for the full version) personally.
