This debate seems to be one of the central themes of Mass Effect. Are you pro-human, or pro-cooperation?
What are you?

Both on various playthroughs.

All my characters, are pro-cooperation as you put it.

Always Pro-cooperation & Paragon here. Tried to play as a Renegade a couple of times now, but it's way less fun for me that way, so I'm just sticking with Paragon.

I think my Shepards tends to be neither. I'd go the extra mile to save a Turian colony just as I would a human one. But my Shepards tend not to have a lot of respect for the status quo. Council politics is just as broken as human politics.

Pro-cooperation and about half and half paragon/renegade. My canon Shep anyway, the other options are fun to explore, but it's not what I'd do if it was me.

My "canon" Shepard is Pro-Cooperation. He's a Paragon with a slight tint of Renegade.

My vanguard MaleShep is the Henry Kissinger of space.

Cautiously cooperative/paragon.

Pro-human cooperation. I have nothing against working with aliens (we have numerous examples of them having much to offer us) but I will always put my people's needs and welfare ahead of theirs.

100% pro-cooperation. Fighting for common good, just like I would.
It's just like differences between different human races... "Yeah, I would co-operate with negros, but what I say is white race first!" -com on, how does it sound? Ones living in one space should consider themselves as one society.

Pro-cooperation. But I have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to slavers, unscrupulous mercenaries, or just general dumbasses who stick guns in my face. I give them one chance to back down or change their ways, and if not, *PEW*.

Pro-Cooperation IS Pro-Human, in the long run. Petty grabs for a messy, temporary superiority only harm future human interests. Cooperation all the way: when everyone wins, everyone, y'know, wins. And because I'm just that boring, heroic Paragon means to it all the way.

I'm a little a both. I believe humanity needs to be careful on where they step, but they also need to learn to trust other species.

Pro peace and love amongst all species. I'm a space hippie! (With a gun...)

I'd say both on multiple playthrough's, too, but I'm mostly the latter.

I'll stick with the council for the most part. I'm playing 100% paragon this time. I am already thinking about the final decision though. Will I just let a new council rule or put everything aside for the old one?
Knowing the effect your choices have now is a bit annoying for me. I tend to check Save File Transfer (ME Wikia) every time now to see what I did for that person in the long run

Pro-Coop all the way. Let's face it: a galaxy ruled by us humans would be boring as all hell.
And I'm a Paragon, but kick merc face at every possible opportunity

Enlightened self interest. Always coopereate. Strength for Shepard's allies is strength for Shepard.

I like the way you think...I definitely cannot remember most of the choices I made. It was interesting the first playthrough of ME2 with my imported ME1.

I'm pro-coop all the way for one reason: the First Contact War ended only 26 years before the start of ME1, and all of the alien races were spacefaring for anywhere between hundreds (like the drell and quarians) and thousands (asari, salarians, turians, etc...) of years before the Alliance discovered the Prothean ruins on Mars, so I feel like they know the Milky Way better than humans do. It's stereotypically human-centric to assume that we're better than the other races even though they've been around so much longer.

Pro-coop here. I'm only pro-human when I intentionally set it up that way (which is to say, on my "full of douche" Shep, not meaning to belittle others stance on this matter). :b

Pro Co-op but ruthless. Mission comes first. As spectre saving the galaxy has a higher priority than making the humans stronger. Still in the end the council died... mission comes always first.

My first character, I was cooperative. My second playthrough I was full renegade and pro-human.
