Dont get me wrong this game is awesome but after reading both books and only just playing the game for a lil while i have already picked up many mistakes in the lore. In the books it is said that Darkspawn dont eat anything and that the taint keeps them alive. In the game however darkspawn eat people....lol wtf??? I cant remember many other stuff ups as i decided to just ignore them but i have noticed many! Another one is just related to the book Dragon age: The calling, in this maric says that  Utha the mute female dwarf doesent carry any wepons on her and only uses her fits in battle....and then when they come across a dragon she happns to miraculously pull out a flail like wepon? Has any one els picked up some flaws like this?

Couldent seem to post this any where els because it wouldent let me? sorry if this contains spoilers

There must be a definition of "plot hole" at work here with which I'm not familiar.

Did he? Weird. Is this true David?

No, I did not say such a thing.

lol yeah this ain't a plot hole but just a stuff
up in the lore. Could fix this easy by telling of how the dark spawn
came to eat. I pretty sure tho that the only thing that drives them is
the calling.

Are you asking? Or is a "stuff up in the lore" just anything you didn't understand?

The darkspawn don't need to eat. And other than the frightened tales of some soldiers, nobody claims that they do.

With Utha, however, I think it's just the sad fact that the game doesn't support unarmed fighting. She shouldn't have had any hair, either, from what I remember. I was more than happy with her intense facial expressions and hand gestures.

While it's true that Utha in Awakening having hair/weapons was due to technical limitations, I think he was referring to the fact that she possessed a double-club in the Calling. How that would be a problem with the lore, I'm not really sure. Perhaps he didn't like that it wasn't mentioned prior to the battle with the dragon, I don't know.

As a newbie to Dragon Age it was alreadt established to me that Darkspawn feasted on the dead at Ostigar by Morrigan speaking to you just after lighting the beacon. They dragged the living underground and eat the dead, she said she saw this herself and not learnt through conversation. At this point, no other interpretation is possible.

Now I hear that some book states that Darkspwan never eat, Sounds like a definate contrast, unless Morrigan is mistaken and the Darkspawn happened to do something else.

Sigh.

First off, I said that darkspawn don't need to eat. They don't need food in order to survive. If they bite or feast upon something, it is for other reasons -- which most people may not entirely be aware of.

But... whatever. If someone wants to sniff at it and suggest the books are fanfic, go right ahead. Knock yourselves out.
