Same issue here, my favorite MMORPG, Lord of the Rings Online was just patched after three damn years so my mouse zoom will work as it should... still have the same problem in DAO. I hope BioWare guys will not take that much time to deal with it...
I can't get the mouse wheel to zoom the camera?

Looking for this forever, even made a new thread about it. Will try the Intellipoint software download.

I had the same problem, but I went into control panel and checked for updates and after downloading the latest drivers for my mouse everything seems to work fine. Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 by the way.

The issue persists in my case also.
I run Windows 7 64bit (all updates installed).
I have installed game patch v1.04
My mouse is a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 running over the latest IntelliPoint 8.0 64bit for Win7.
The wheel's function is problem-free for other applications.
I've read in another forum that the generic mouse driver can be a workaround but then I will be limiting my remaining applications' functionality. :-(

Same mouse as pdavit, but not installed intelliPoint, as I have had bad experience with such managing programs in the past... Microsoft's and Logitech's alike...
The problem just accured while I was playing (out of all things...) I thought it was a temporary bug, so shut the game down and reloaded it, but the bug stuck. How is that possible?

First I went to mouse settings and switched the middle button option from something else to middle click (don't know why it wasn't so in the first place though...) Then the gamed worled fine before problem reappeared...
Then I went back to mouse settings, and added dragon age to the program-specific section... And then the game worked as normal again, before yet again failing...
I went back to the program-specific options in mouse settings, and selected middle-click as mouse wheel option... And then the zooming once again worked fine for a while, before failing again...
Now I'm out of options.... Why the **** is this happening?!? How is it possible to make something as old and simple as mouse technology so ****ing complicated?!?

Just letting you guys know that if you set the "scroll speed" in "mouse settings" (under Control Panel) to as fast as it will go... it will let you zoom somewhat like normal. Tested this and is working.

Wolfgurr wrote...
Its a a issue with microsoft mouses that have tilt scrolling you will to need uninstall intellipoint and reinstall it selecting a mouse that doent have tilt scrolling like basic optical or intellimouse explore 3.
I never get the option to choose my mouse model when installing the latest intellipoint software....
Also, uninstalling the intellipoint soft does not give me back zoom functionality either...
I am using a Comfore Optical Mouse 3000

It seems that this mouse (Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000) has issues with its scrolling functionality in general and it appears other mice may also be affected.

I've also just had the same problem, I am trying what Wolfgurr has suggested.
Thanks, hoping this works!
The page up and page down buttons on my laptop's keyboard aren't so fun to use while battling.

The keyboards aren't a major part of it, but nevertheless, do detract from gameplay plenty. That is part of why laptops aren't officially supported by developers.

I have the Microsoft Mobil Mouse 3500. Same issue. I recently upgraded to Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Easy fix though. I downloaded patch 1.05 and also downloaded the drivers for the mouse from Microsoft. Worked like a charm after that. It was more than likely the driver that was the problem for me. Worth a shot!
