I wouldn't worry about it...this whole year is a celebration of their 15th anniversary, I'm sure there 's probably more stuff to do.
Or that could have just been PR bull**** meant to appease the pissed off masses.

Fireballs are still being tossed around, we've just been aiming so that their AoE is only hitting one thread.Feraele wrote...

Friendly fire is a !@#$% afterall. Especially with that knockdown effect.

Anywhere between 7k and 10k is the average, and their are over 4,000 prizes. Still a good chance to get something.

With things like these some people become greedy and have their eyes set on that "computer" or what have you. When peeps do that it ruins the mood, just like with last year's Bungie Day. Everyone wanting Recon, 99.9% walk away upset not recieving anything. Eventually got mine though.

I really want to win that RAM, it would help me upgrade my computer so much. Although there are 5 available I just have the feeling that I won't have enough points to get it. And that's the only thing I really want that's on the list. *sigh* You never know though, I may get one!

You can get comparable RAM fairly cheaply so if you don't win it you might want to look into that.

Got an email in my mail inbox about the bazaar and it claimed "It's for the fans". Excited, I registered all my games, set everything up, only to find out this is a huge PR stunt with facebook and twitter. Not to mention the odds of getting ANYTHING with the token "hacks" pretty much ruined it for me. Even though the computers are pretty much out of grasp maybe I can get a neat hat or something.
I've been a loyal Bioware customer forever but this seems kinda outa reach for me to win anything. I'm slightly disapointed. I don't even have a twitter or facebook anymore

yep. don't worry, it looks as if most people with high counts are going to be stripped of their tokens before the auction starts.
Unfairly so, I might add.

I don't understand. Didn't they cheat? What exactly happened?

Someone came up with the idea to use the IMG-Tag function of BBCode to generate "clicks" an asked BioWare if this was "legal." BioWare did not say anything for some time so people started using it. after a bit one employee, Stanley Woo, said the following:
"Most image tag exploit posts are edited and links are removed because they are similarly spamming the thread in which they are posted, usually in non-link exchange threads. Because the image tag exploit is a little sketchy, I'm a little stricter in when and where people can post them. Like regular links, I have little to no problem with people posting links to their signature blocks or in threads specifically designed to exchange links. Throwing the links around willy-nilly is what gets folks in trouble."
This seemed to give the go-ahead for IMG-Tags in signatures. However soon after that post, within hours in fact, Chris "Evil" Priestly wrote this:
"We consider this an exploit/cheating and are tracking it. Anyone found to use it will lose their tokens Tuesday morning before the auction begins.
Posting something and asking people to click on it is fine. Posting something that is going to automatically generate clicks for you without reader approval (willingness to click) is in our opinion tantamount to cheating and will not be tolerated."
Now some questions are:
Was there an grace period?
Why did BioWare not say anything for three days?
Are all the tokens going to be removed or just the URL-linked ones?
How will they tell who "cheated" and who didn't?
And why are they not saying anything now?

The lesson here is, evil wins.
Maybe, maybe not. The level of decent is growing and this mess might have done more harm than good for BioWare. I know that I will think twice before buying, say, the next bit of DLC for ME2 or DA:O.

Oh, wait, right. Because if some people think they're not DQd, they'll keep spamming free advertising for them.
