Why is Zaeed aiming with a blind eye?

His right eye is white, meaning he rather dont see anything with it. Though, he snipes with this eye (he is holding sniper rifle in right hand, so he has to aim with the right eye). Hmm, now I understand why he cant hit anything...

Hah. Poor logic is poor.

Just remember, ME is the "future."

Usually cybernetic implants are either quite visible (TIMs and Sarens eyes) or very true to life (apparently Shepards ME2 eyes), so most likely Zaeed has just learned to deal with monovision and his other eye is truly blind as white color suggests.

Nice catch OP! I always noticed his blind eye (it makes him look cool), but never noticed how he aims. :D

He has a blind eye because he had survived a shot to the head from his "colleague" Santiago 20 years ago from 2186.

He doesn't aim with his dead eye, he's merely holding the rifle in a decent enough position. Zaeed's simply skilled enough to see the target with his good eye and KNOW how to exactly hold his rifle to hit said target.

Pretty much as close to "shooting from the hip" as one can get with a sniper rifle.

ok, maybe his left eye's sight is so sharp that he can snipe while aiming with the blind eye.

...right, BioWare.

How about this; Bioware didn't bother changing the animation for Zaeed, which was a good idea, because none but you even noticed this?

Simple. Any rifle will be too scared not to miss when held by the galaxy's most feared mercenary.

It is like the issue with Normandy soldier saluting with wrong hand- there's a topic made by a former soldier, who pointed that error. For him, it's something visible and distracting. For my, sniping with a blind eye is also very visible, but as it is with this saluting - 99% people dont bother.

On the other hand, a guy form BioWare (sorry, dont remember the name) said, in the mentioned 'saluting" topic, that devs do they best so the game looks like real life and they do very well indeed. I mean Zaeed's eye aint a big issue, but it is disturbing, especially when you look closer an start to think how the hell he can snipe.

Its not a gamebreaking issue, but I think it should be mentioned. We want to play games that are rather accurate and deliver great simulation of life (sort of)

It's cybernetic.

Who says that the eye has to glow to be cybernetic?

But why it is white then? It might very well be cybernetic eye that simulates the look of real eye, hell AFAIK Shepards eyes are cybernetic, but why would Zaeed choose white like blind?

It could be...whatever it's called, where someone has two different eye colors.

After checking wikipedia, he could have "heterochromia."

That, or maybe it's a transplant from someone with a different color iris?

He was shot in head, he has a big scar on the right side of the face. Unless he was born with Heterochromia. Hell, my friend has it, but... one eye is green and the other is brown, but isnt it that the white isnt a natural color for an eye? you cant be born with a white eye.

White indicates blindness AFAIK. It can be cybernetic... but why bother having an eye that looks like a blind one? Hm because you HAVE TO look badass, right.

Of course it can be something different. Like Zaeed's enemies are praying for taking headshots and dieing in order not to be punished by him anymore :D

I actually think half his face is reconstructed and I'm sure that eye isn't blind. Maybe an organic transplant, or a different kind of cybernetics - I'm pretty sure he can't afford TIM's eyes :)

Since when does white indicate blind? I could see what you mean if it were cloudy white, but I don't think it is.

I'm going with older and/or cheaper tech.
Newer or more expensive tech can look realistic, but cheap tech is probably little more than a glass case over a camera.

It makes sense that Zaeed's cybernetic eye looks blind. Enemies think they have an advantage and find out his 'blind' side has perfect enhanced vision.
