I keep on seeing post about this, so who do you think the big bad is?

I have a feeling Duncan is for some reason.... Whilei t sounds like a Master Lee incident again, on the bright side it would be a good twist. Look at Bastila when she turned too the dark side.  So what do you think?

From what I can gather from the lore and novels, I'm under the assumption that it's the Archdemon, like Maria said. Essentially, Darkspawn are always present, not just during a Blight. During non Blight times, they stick to the Deep Roads in reduced numbers... the subterrain ruins of the ancient Dwarven empire. Since the moment they're created, they've a constant siren song so to speak, that drives them to seek out the resting places of the Old Gods. Ancient dragons that slumber beneath the earth. Any time they actually dig and dig and get to it, their corruption spreads, turning it to an Archdemon, which then bursts to the surface, and they follow in tow. I don't expect there to be a big bad villain in the normal sense, but I'm sure we'll see several 'kinda big' bad folk who are trying to capitalize on all the chaos and whatever power vacuums the conflicts cause.

I think people might be wondering about the 'real' big bad because BioWare is in the habit of keeping some information from viewers on to reveal later on.

Mass Effect and Jade Empire had hidden big bads while Knights and the BG series had revelations about who you were.

The combination of the Blight and Archdemon on one side with treacherous Loghan on the other work well as bads to fight. I’m sure there will be surprises and reveals, but I don’t think it will be ‘the real enemy!’ type deal.

With Bioware you never know, remember master lee or before that kotor where your character was revan, Even in Bladur's gate your character was the child of a god. My advice trust no one and always place the PC motives first :)

Definitely agree with Arttis. I don't think it's going to be any particular person other than the darkspawn obviously. But remember, Loghain isn't bad if you end up agreeing with him and siding with him if that's an option. Or doing your own grey warden thing and doing what your pc is correct. I think it'll just mostly be about what your character does and thinks.
