A Grey Warden is just a regular dude with a shortened lifespan and bad nightmares and can sense darkspawn a bit (which is useless in a fight against anyone else)

Also: DarthCaine has a point.

Basicly what DarthCaine said.
And even at killing darkspawn Spirit monks would win.

Wouldnt that depend on a plethora or variables? Distance between combatants, how quick you can cast a spell or if both combatants are prepaird for the fight to name a few.

Here we go comparing gameplay mechanics...
I think you will find that the discussion is more about game lore then mechanics. Just saying.

Out of these two, I'd have to say Grey Wardens, though.

Mormon answer: In Jade Empire you kill tons of golems, take that!

Do you guys think a Spirit Monk could bind a soul tainted by darkspawn blood?
Hard to say. Do they ever mention if the darkspawn taint effects the spirit/soul of the warden?
Will have to go for - probably. But then let me pose a counter question. Would a real spirit munk actualy bind the soul of a living being?

couldn't the spirit monk just soul bind any and all grey wardens? it feels like it would be sort of game over after that :|
This. Grey Wardens aren't immune to magic by default. I doubt they can guard against Soul Bind. Besides, think about what a Spirit Monk in JE can pull off with their bare hands. They can punch through rock and learn how to throw around blasts of elemental energy. The Closed Fist Spirit Monk becomes a living god(dess). Honestly, there's no comparison. Only a mage Grey Warden would even stand a fighting chance.
Out of all BioWare's special protagonists, I'd put Grey Wardens at the bottom. As Avernus cites in his research notes: their darkspawn sensing ability is a triviality. Other than that and being equipped to slay archdemons, non-mage Wardens are normal humanoids.
