If you have the Blood Dragon Armor that's good.

If not then anything that increases power damage.

Some shields don't hurt either.

Head-Visor (increase headshots): Helps in general.

Armor-either the quick sheild recovery or the double shields: Quick shield recovery helps if your in a jam. if your under heavy fire you can run away then boom recovered. double shields helps for overall boosting

Shoulders-Boost biotic powers: increases strength of powers

Gautlets-boost spare ammo: gives you more ammo for all guns but heavy weapons

Feet-increase storm speed: To run further and longer. Helps in Final area for the Vent switches.

what about the cerberaus armour?

If you don't have it you can download it using your promotion points from Bioware downloads section.

It also depends on what settings the game is on

how do i get the dragon armour?

It was a bonus for the people who bought Dragon Age: Origins. The Blood Dragon Armor is usable in both games.

I am more likely saying if you don't have any DLC's.
But when I look at the DLC they seem ok.
I might make a run with them on some day.

PS: Wasn't the topic "What's the best armor pieces for adept?" not "What's the best DLC armor pieces for adept?"

Anything that looks good ...

Although, Amplifier Plates are awesome .. and increases your powers' damage.

I like Aegis Vest, 'cos it looks great .. but either N7 chestplate or capacitor chestplate is probably better.

I'd go with Kuwashii Visor for the look, too ... but umbra visor is probably better.

I like Stimulator Conduits .. 'cos I actually prefer faster running speed to +10% health.

And Stabilization Gauntlets .. it's quite expedient to just shoot someone you used pull or singularity on rather than bothering to warp them, and with this they die faster. 5% faster, but whatever.

anything that increases health is good. I don't like going to cover much so I'm usually at the brink of death. health first, then shields. you'll want armor that helps you survive on Hardcore and Insanity. on normal and below the game is pretty easy you can focus on more power damage if you want

Adepts need shields more than health because as long as shields are up, you tend not to stay behind cover to wait for recharge. I'd recommend

- Umbra visor for +5% power damage (or if you don't have any DLC head gear, it doesn't matter)

- Amplifier plates for +5% power damage

- Heavy damping gauntlets for +5% shields

- Shield harness for +5% shields or N7 chestplate for +3% power damage

- Life support webbing for +10% health (much more useful than the storm boost as adepts tend to be defensive anyway, and +10% health is better than +3% shields rom N7)

So the blood dragon armor is the best?

Blood Dragon Armor is easily the best for power-oriented classes, as it gives a +15% boost to Power Damage. This means any power, not just Biotic or Tech power. Even with the Dr Pepper DLC, the best you can get is +13% (Umbra Visor, Amplifier Plates, and N7 Chestplate). As far as I'm aware, this stacks with the Biotic and Tech Damage upgrades, so having all 5 while wearing the Blood Dragon Armor would give +65% Power Damage. Add in the fact that the Firewalker DLC also adds a Biotic Damage, and you can get +75% Biotic Damage total.

Personally, I'd probably go with the following setup:

Umbra Visor (+5% Power Damage)

N7 Chestplate (+3% Power Damage)

Amplifier Plates (+5% Power Damage)

Heavy Damping Gauntlets (+5% Shields)

N7 Greaves (+3% Shields)

This setup gives +13% Power Damage and +8% Shields, which is as close to the Blood Dragon Armor as you can get.

.

Nemesis would bring that up to 90%

Is it just me or do other people think that all available ME2 DLC should be on XBOX Live Market place because I don't want to go out and spend £30 on a game I'll never play just to get an armour set that will actually help on Insanity and why can't Dr. Pepper do their promotions in Europe aswell so it makes it easier to get the rest of the Armour pieces!?!?!?

I don't know whether to <3 or hate Bioware.

I hate all the dlc stuff. If they at least made the effort to put somewhere in the game so you have to go and pick it up as opposed to just giving you it from the start, making alot of the other stuff instantly useless, then it would improve my view of it 100%.

The main thing I don't like about the various armors (Blood Dragon, Cerebus, N7) are the helmets. I don't like my face being covered up. I came into the game to late to get those Dr Pepper head gear pieces.

For me, armor is more about appearances than functionality. Silly I know, but I don't care.

What I like about the generic armor is that you can alter the color and appearance to some degree.

You don't *need* the armor pieces/set to clear insanity. The bonuses are *nice*, the blood dragon armor happen to be *nicest* for some, but you can still clear insanity with FemShep in a dress. Too bad no official way to do that. I would totally forsake any armor bonuses to go into combat with a femshep in a dress.

The whole point of armour is to protect you which means that by only wearing it for fashion your defeating whole point of armour

Whatever looks the nicest to you. 5% bonus isn't all that important anywase... only the health/shield bonus should pursuade you.

Power damage and health are my two choices, power damage is always nice for power based classes, and health lets you survive longer without shields and move from cover with lower shields. Also, for people who say that damage protection is better that increasing health, it is really the same thing, increased health makes the bar go down just as slowly as if it was increased damage protection.

Generic armor question.

What is better: shield or health bonus armor pieces?

I would say health, the shield bonus is really too small to be of any use, and health always comes in handy against YMIR mechs, so I would say health/weapon/power damage because Shields are more vulnerable than health.
