Is your My Documents directory physically located on some other drive then C:? That's been known to cause issues with DLC installation.

Try moving it back to the default location. Right click on USERNAME\\My Documents and select Properties. Go to the Location tab and click on "Restore Default." You can move it back after the DLC is installed.

It is also very beneficial to run a thorough defrag before installing any large software, and games are among the largest of programs.

looks like this one because i've configured roaming profiles for my computers... hope developers will fix it at some point.

i.e. "My Documents" can't be stored on a server (fixed by creating local account).

Idiotic. I want my money back. Can't install Leliana's Song and it is thoroughly unreasonable to copy multi-GB, shared My Documents from server to one of my local computers just to play!

Right.  You are in a group of perhaps one hundredth of a percent, and you expect to be catered to?  Sure.  Absolutely. More fool, you.  (Now, why was the "lut" part of absolutely changed, as if it was something from a four-letter word edit list?

(Yes, on-system drive options can allowed for by most games, not if they are server-based, however.)

Funny, most games let you choose the location of your save folder.

Like already mentioned this is advanced stuff, normal users without a (company) server that is acting as a Windows Domain Controller and store their documents and user profiles on it need not look at this. For people in a networked environment with roaming profiles and access to network policies please look at the following.

http://technet.micro...y/cc975931.aspx

By changing this policy setting you could exclude your Bioware folder in My Documents from your roaming profile (hopefully) and leave it on the single PC, avoiding the copying back and forth to the server and other computers that you log on to.
Another option would be to exclude My Documents from your profile entirely and store your documents in a specific share on the server, which is quite common for company networks anyway.
