Kasumi, though, I'll buy on day one, for sure.

2-3 dollars for a new map is actually not a ridiculous price, it's just that Infinity Ward just copy-pasted 2 old maps into the package killing the deal.
This isn't exactly a new thing for them. I didn't really hear anybody complaining about how the $10 Variety map pack from COD4 only had two new maps. A lot of people did realize it at the time, but the third one, Chinatown, was a reskin of Carentan, which appeared in BOTH 1 & 2. So yeah, it's crappy. But it's not a new business practice.

In part because companies now use DLC to discourage selling games for the 2nd hard market. I strongly suspect some of the DLC is/was on the disk like Zaeed - why does he have a permanent slot with the rest of the characters and have a 'loyalty' mission.
And in part, because I do feel several sections in ME1 and ME2 were not finished. A lot of corporations shove (unfinished) goods out the door for financial reasons to meet a year end or quarterly statement; i.e. money comes way ahead of quality (or in the pecking order of things, marketing beats production and engineering).

I will be buying the Kasumi DLC for exactly the same reasons.LKR79 wrote...
I think it will be cool. Besides, I wouldn't mind having another team mate in my squad. So, yeah, I'll be downloading that one.

I tend to avoid pointless DLC for a lot of games, but I like to support Bioware as much as possible. I'll buy anything they put out.
...bad, bad choice to make...
But I'm buying the DLC because it does look cool and I have an extra 800 MSP from buying Perfect Dark on the XBLA

I'm getting Kasumi's DLC, have all the other ME2 dlcs.
Speaking of MW2 wasn't there a problem with the graphics on that dlc? That's what i heard on IGN anyway.
With the Modern Campfare 2 DLC, lots of ppl couldn't even log onto the servers. More bugs as well.

Sure, China town was a redesign of a map from Call of Duty 2. But notice; Redesign!

Character specific dialogue? So she can spam you about random items like Zaeed? Come on people. 1.5 hours is generous at BEST as far as game time is concerned. And if you think $7 for 1 hour of DLC is a good bargain, I have some beach front property in Montana to sell you. Demand something worthwhile for your money.
I'm British. I've paid $7 for a chicken salad baguette while waiting for a train. Would I be willing to skip one of those and instead get some extra content for one of my favourite games of the last 2 years? Hmm. <_<
EDIT: And that sandwhich was far too crunchy; not enough chicken and badly spread mayonaise. This is an important detail.

I mean don't get me wrong - I loved the Zaeed character. I thought he was well written and well voice-acted. Kudos to Robin Sachs. But it was just like having a coin-operated anecdote machine onboard. Compare that to Shale. I assumed, stupidly perhaps, that they were taking this extra time with Kasumi to put more effort into it. I also stupidly assumed that that extra effort was the reason Kasumi was $7, rather than free like Zaeed. But no, I was wrong on both counts.
The only way I'll buy this is either a) if it ends up in one of those MS DLC sales they have every now and then (you know, Deal Of The Week or something), or

This. Bioware is the only games company that has yet to let me down and I will buy anything they churn out.

I made a commitment to DA and ME, might as well see it through.
Besides, I can't complain about it or make fun of any aspect that bothers me about it if I don't, and what would be the point of living if I didn't get to complain about something??

Please Zaeed is too badass for a conversation wheel. He talks, you listen.
LOL, and if he called you Pup, you'd just have to take it.

And the MW2 DLC is just horses**t. I refuse to buy it, mainly because I disapprove of MW2 in general
