I could see them releasing a patch that makes it were you can't get everyone through the final mission without all 12 squad members...
I seriously doubt that, there would be a lot of pissed off people after that. Pissing off customers is bad for business, especially if you try to get more money out of them while doing it..
Let's be honest. They could **** in the customers' milk all day and you guys would call it chocolate milk and drink it all the same.

I tend to avoid pointless DLC for a lot of games, but I like to support Bioware as much as possible. I'll buy anything they put out.

Kasumi files on game disc.
Kasumi after DLC download.
You are not spending $7 for just this.
Lol, awesome way to explain. I am so totally getting Kasumi but not the MW2 maps... 15 bucks for that?!??!?!

DLC is pretty much always overprized. And it becomes even more obvious when you consider that moddable games usually offer better free content thanks to a creative community.
Furthermore, DLC, free or not is often not integrated into the game as it was a valid part of it. The DLC armors are just a prime example for that. Characters that have less dialogue than comparable ones are not much better. Thinking of it, it becomes very clear why there is so little party banter in ME2. It would not have worked with the DLC plan. And sun-shades that go against the design of characters and even the whole game are just the tip of the iceberg.
When people stop buying DLC and the whole idea in general then maybe publishers and developers will go back to delivering full games without parts beeing cut out for the release and full add-ons with a whole package where all elements properly go together.
DLC is a desease to modern gaming just like forcing out games early with a day-1 patch that never fixes a totally buggy product like it was the trend a while back or freaking DRM systems that hurt the customers rather than pirates. It all just leads to reduced overall quality, no matter how adept the developer might be.
Money is not beeing made through confidence in a good product anymore but rather through ripping off the customer.

I'm British. I've paid $7 for a chicken salad baguette while waiting for a train. Would I be willing to skip one of those and instead get some extra content for one of my favourite games of the last 2 years? Hmm. <_<
EDIT: And that sandwhich was far too crunchy; not enough chicken and badly spread mayonaise. This is an important detail.
Excellent reason!!

I'm American. I still think most DLC is half-assed - chicken sandwiches aside. I am arrogant enough to demand meaningfull content, not an hour of shooting in a museum, and not bladerunner shades, or even nail polish for Miranda.

This... But I'll still get it because it looks fun.

instead. But well, that's what BioWare is about, not selling rubbish. Still, after the countless bugs and clearly rushed testing of Awakening, I'm a bit concerned if the same QA team supervises both ME and DA:O
You are aware of the alternate appearance pack and the DA gift packs, right?
This. And also the Hammerhead/firewalker pack. Just ecause it was free doesn't mean it wasn't mediocre and boring.
EA hasn't done anything good for Bioware. It never will. Mass Effect 2 was rushed, the DLC was mediocre, and now they expect to make money off of Kasumi? for $7, I should be able to have a conversation with the character, not have them talk at me. You are essentially paying for the Zaeed style DLC with a new character. Which, in my opinion, is not worth seven bucks.

I will get it. 7 Bucks for a dlc with a new mission and new squad member instead of old things with some new (CoD6 new maps, i boycott that one, ****in 15 bucks for almost nothing). 7 bucks for Kasumi is a good deal. Anyway 5 bucks would be better
I'm curious. Can buy exactly $7 worth of points?

$6.25 - then automatically up to $12.00?
You guys...really. If you could pay $7.00 straight across, I might understand. If I comment anymore it will get ugly. I'm outta here.
Oh well. I guess we can all look forward to the Miranda 'manicure set' dlc in a few months.
