i really hope they dont start charging the next mass effect dlc even more.EA OR BIOWARE should be loyal to there customers and charger cheap.
Makes perfect business sense to me. Not like either Bioware or EA would be interested in making a profit on their DLC

I'm British. I've paid $7 for a chicken salad baguette while waiting for a train. Would I be willing to skip one of those and instead get some extra content for one of my favourite games of the last 2 years? Hmm. <_<
EDIT: And that sandwhich was far too crunchy; not enough chicken and badly spread mayonaise. This is an important detail.
Excellent reason!!
I'm American. I still think most DLC is half-assed - chicken sandwiches aside. I am arrogant enough to demand meaningfull content, not an hour of shooting in a museum, and not bladerunner shades, or even nail polish for Miranda.
I'm shocked. The chicken sandwhich cannot be put aside, it is a fundemental part of the DLC discussion. You claim that this content is not meaningful, but I contend that it is quite the opposite. By buying this you are potentially contributing to your long-term health by consuming less starch and saturated fats, cutting down on calories and preventing potential exposure to salmonela. You might think this is stupid but all it takes it one ill, badly cooked chicken and BLAM! chronic diarrhea. This DLC isn't just an extra character, it's the first step towards a more healthy, less cramp-filled life.
I'd also pay for content that gave Miranda a normal chin.

It isn't because they are poor, but the fact they got some of DLC for free. People tend to expect more of the same and create grievances when their expectations are not met.

Don't act like you wouldn't shag her if given the chance!
Anyway, I'm buying Kasumi, but Bioware can get lost concerning everything else after the Bazaar fiasco.

Don't get me wrong though, she's not

I'm simply defending her looks. She, her chin - everything looks fine.

I will get it. 7 Bucks for a dlc with a new mission and new squad member instead of old things with some new (CoD6 new maps, i boycott that one, ****in 15 bucks for almost nothing). 7 bucks for Kasumi is a good deal. Anyway 5 bucks would be better
Being raped doesn't become a "good deal" just because somebody else got raped, beaten, stabbed, robbed and cow branded in the face.
The only way I'd pay $7 for half a squadmate (no dialog wheel and only one mission) is if ME2 cost $42.99 instead of the typical $49.99 and Bioware said from the beginning that they were going to recoupe the money later via DLC. I'll wait til it's way cheaper, free or some computer geek makes it available for free. I will not pay for something that was cut from the release so that I can be fleeced for money later. It's not that $7 is alot of money. It's the princible of the matter. If it was something substantial, completely new and seperate from the originally developed game then I'd have no problem with it.
And when you consider the bundled points they are trying to position you to buy other crap DLC like the outfit pack (which is inferior in player mods) seeing as you're really paying $10 for it. I really have a bad feeling about ME3.

Are you ****ting me? God damn it i knew the cerberus network had a catch. Now all the DLC they put out will be over priced to get back the money from the "free" DLC.

Secondly, it's going to bomb anyway as usual because BioWare still haven't go the memo. Nobody but BioWare's core fanbase is either going to a) know orcare of it's existence because in essence it's hardly worth reporting. When even hardcore fans are debating whether or not it's worth the time or the money you know you're in trouble.
Huh? Kasumi and "ME2" DLC in general has been reported on every major gaming site. There is no "core fanbase" for a game that sold close to 1 mll it's first week. The series is mainstream now.

I could see them releasing a patch that makes it were you can't get everyone through the final mission without all 12 squad members...
I seriously doubt that, there would be a lot of pissed off people after that. Pissing off customers is bad for business, especially if you try to get more money out of them while doing it..
Let's be honest. They could **** in the customers' milk all day and you guys would call it chocolate milk and drink it all the same.
Let's be honest, if you seriously think Bioware would patch the game so you need all 12 people to get through it, you're retarded. It has nothing to do with defending Bioware. Even if I hated "ME2" I wouldn't agree with what you're saying because it makes zero sense. They'd have to reprogram significant portions of the game to do that, and in the process remove most of the choices you make. Stop being dumb.

Spare me the melodrama, please. It sold well, is critically acclaim, and any poll on this board ends with most people praising it. So it's a success from pretty much any angle.

I don't mind that the character is implemented like Zaeed was, I don't think it would be practical to release DLC characters any other way (much, much larger download and much more expensive to produce. They'd perhaps have to charge double or more).

Prove it was cut from the orginal release. You can't. So what are you going on about? It was a place holder model for Kasumi and a few lines of dialogue. No real model, most of her lines weren't in, her whole loyalty mission wasn't in, and neither was her loyalty power.

^^This.
I gave a picture diagram a few pages back to try and help explain the Kasumi files on the disc. Sadly people still want to make un-justified claims and assumptions. I've given up trying to argue with people for the most part on it.

Most people disagree with you. If something makes a lot of money, is critically acclaimed, and the core fan base (in this case, this board via polls) mostly agrees it's good, then history will mark it as such. None of this makes you wrong, since this is all opinion, but it does place you in the vocal minority. Which, no offense, usually gets ignored in the grand scheme of things. Since they probably aren't going to do things differently to please a few people when they've achieved better results across the board doing things this way, you might want to steer clear of "ME3".
