Seriously, you guys. Steal all the music you want, but leave the Video Game industry alone. They are striking back.
In what way? It isn't like this will somehow stop piracy.
Micro DLC is only an annoyance to those who have to pay for it - especially since micro DLC is usually grossly overpriced.

I've never boycotted Bioware, but so far I haven't bought any game with the new DRM that requires you to be online all the time, even though I was interested in Silent Hunter. If Bioware uses that on a game (or something equally obnoxious) I'll boycott them. (Might buy it second hand so they get nothing, then apply a patch so I can play it offline.)

By just sticking with the console market and not releasing some titles on PC. Although this is probably just an excuse on their part. I know full well piracy is unavoidable.

I think you mean developing games for consoles first, then porting them to PCs. They still make money off PCs even if piracy is strong, and doing lame ports is quite cheap.
Besides which, consoles are only a bit more work to crack than a PC. Indeed, you are correct in saying that piracy is unavoidable.

And unscrupulous. But I will stop there, as I don't support micro DLC either.

I'll wait a few days for feedback. If she's got proper dialogue throughout the game like Zaeed, I'll pick her up. I'm generally willing to support Bioware, though I doubt I'll bother with the alternate appearances pack.

What the hell? Why does everyone base buying more gameplay and a new character with a new move on if she has a dialogue wheel? Whatever....

Its because for some strange reason many people have an issue that Zaeed had no dialgoue wheel.
To be perfectly honest I really don't care. I didn't understand at first why he didn't speak and was a bit dissapointed but then I said whatever and moved on. I don't even talk to my squadmates anymore so I will probably go around Kasumi's room once and then be done with it. I only want her for the mission and the dialogue she gets on missions.

I could see them releasing a patch that makes it were you can't get everyone through the final mission without all 12 squad members...
I seriously doubt that, there would be a lot of pissed off people after that. Pissing off customers is bad for business, especially if you try to get more money out of them while doing it..
Let's be honest. They could **** in the customers' milk all day and you guys would call it chocolate milk and drink it all the same.
Let's be honest, if you seriously think Bioware would patch the game so you need all 12 people to get through it, you're retarded.
You are retarded because you have the reading comprehension skills of a toddler... whose mother smoked crack while she was preganant with you. Why don't you have someone of sub-average intellect (still far above yours) explain to you the following:
I could see them releasing a patch that makes it were you can't get everyone through the final mission without all 12 squad members...

Being raped doesn't become a "good deal" just because somebody else got raped, beaten, stabbed, robbed and cow branded in the face.
The only way I'd pay $7 for half a squadmate (no dialog wheel and only one mission) is if ME2 cost $42.99 instead of the typical $49.99 and Bioware said from the beginning that they were going to recoupe the money later via DLC. I'll wait til it's way cheaper, free or some computer geek makes it available for free. I will not pay for something that was cut from the release so that I can be fleeced for money later. It's not that $7 is alot of money. It's the princible of the matter. If it was something substantial, completely new and seperate from the originally developed game then I'd have no problem with it.
And when you consider the bundled points they are trying to position you to buy other crap DLC like the outfit pack (which is inferior in player mods) seeing as you're really paying $10 for it. I really have a bad feeling about ME3.
Prove it was cut from the orginal release. You can't. So what are you going on about? It was a place holder model for Kasumi and a few lines of dialogue. No real model, most of her lines weren't in, her whole loyalty mission wasn't in, and neither was her loyalty power.
Of course it isn't in because it was CUT OUT, you insufferable imbecile.
They originally announced 12 squadmates and cut two (Zaeed and Kasumi) because EA wanted ME2 out at a time that didn't conflict with other EA release dates so Bioware rushed the game out the door. They left placeholders in the game specifically for those two characters or is your level of retardation too great to comprehend that there were two inaccessible rooms on the Normandy?

If you look through the forums you can find this from Michael Gamble

none of the kasumi content was cut from the game (this
also goes for the free cerberus content). it was developed from the
ground up after the game. the only stuff that was in the game at the
time of ship is the stuff you can find in the stubs.
when looking
at the value of the pack, the playtime is only half of the picture.
where other competing dlc modules may use recycled tilesets and existing
characters, kasumis mission is entirely new. not to mention - a new SMG
that you get to use for the length of the game - and Kasumi (and her
powers and alternate costume).
from a value perspective, we've
been trying to give away quality free items via cerberus so far (and
again, none of it was cut from the main game - its all brand new. not
many developers out there care this much). so when it comes to bioware
quality paid content, we hope the reception will be good as well.
I guess it depends on if you want to believe him or not.

people enjoy the illusion of choice. Its not like Zaeed would say anything else, if he had the dialogue wheel.gmartin40 wrote...

This has been done several times already, including CDs and a Game not that long ago (I think it was something like Football Manager, or something... Not up on Sports Games). According to new-reports, people generally pay a reasonable price (i.e., one article I read said the average price for a 12-track Album was around £7.50), so those who think it's a rip-off pay the lower price, and those who think it's worth the $7 pay that...
