Narp, I really reserve my characters for human-human intercourse. Well, the asari was at least explained in ME1, but for the other races, we didn't get any explanations.
I don't think they are out of place at all, in fact its highly realistic that in a multicultural/multispecies galactic society certain cultural barriers would be broken down and the possibilty of attraction to sapient beings outside of ones owns species is highly possible.They seem to be out of place, out of the 'verse, they actually degrade the high sci-fi world into low-cyberpunk, which is a great genre, but the ME 'verse was built up differently.
