So how much of the game was spoiled for you?

Know a topic like this probably already exists somewhere, but I'm curious to what extent the game was ruined for other people as a result of frequenting these forums.
For myself, I'd rate it as moderate to severe, to list the major ones I can think of:
Legion
Collector twist
Entire intro sequence

Whoever was in charge of content selection for marketing needs to be sodomized by a syphilitic bear.

As a second part, anyone made a vow to avoid the forums at all costs for ME3 launch? I know I have. We'll see how well that goes...

It was the pre-release trailers and vids. They kept assuring me they weren't revealing as much as I thought they were, but... it was not so.

Though I kinda wish Jack wasn't revealed until that moment you go to get her out in the game. You can tell that they tried to make it out like Jack was a guy and it was meant to be a surprise, but frankly they did a poor job hiding it.
Now Garrus surprised me. I had an idea he was going to be in the game, but I didn't connect the dots between him, the mysterious shadow in the picture for the squad loyalty picture, and the recruitment achievement picture, till I spoke to that Krogan in the red blood gang. After that, I messaged a friend about it and he was pissed at me for the spoilage.

How many threads did we have discussing whether Legion would be a squadmate? Or if Garrus was coming back? How many lists of possible LIs did we post, pick over, and discard?
And talk of how they'd handle the ME1 love interets... God! We argued about that so often. "Just wait", we'd say. "Don't judge it until the game comes out..." Ah, looking back...

Kaidan and Ashley in particular were two of the most bland characters in the entire game I found. Seriously. I was more curious about Chorban and the results of his research in my first playthrough than I was in what either of them had to say.
To be fair, it's possible that ME2 might have done them better justice. After all, there's no question that Garrus and Tali were both greatly improved as characters.
The one thing that did disappoint me, which is the reason I'll avoid the forums pre ME3 was all the suggestions that the Collectors were indeed the Protheans. The idea made so much sense to me that I accepted the idea as dogma before I saw any coroborating (sp?) evidence, such that I wasn't even surprised when I read some jackass' post confirming it. Just disappointed that I had ruined a twist for myself.

Lol. Yep... I can still remember the explosion that occurred when we all found out our LIs were only getting cameos...

let me get this straight...you went into a section of a forum that clearly states in the heading "Spoilers Warning"!
How could you not see any negative consequences to that?

Prior to the official launch of ME2, some people managed to get their hands on a copy via illicit means, and amused themselves by posting spoilers under otherwise innocuous thread titles. I had ME2 on launch day, and prior to launch day no 'spoilers allowed' forums were active.

Still, not nearly as spoiled as Mass Effect. After the game launched I avoided reviews and videos like the plagues, certain that it would find its way to the PC. And when it did, I watched the PC "Story" trailer and... wow, they pretty much spoiled the entire plot.

Fair enough. I retract my previous statement.
