I agree. In no way do I state there is no plot. I simply know it is rubbish. How else could I have such an opinion about it being rubbish?WillieStyle wrote...
Several people have explained the motivations behind various plot points in the game (as does the linked synopsis).
You find the motivations unsatisfactory. You find the decisions made by the major players (particularly Shepherd and TIM) unwise.
That's all well good. However, a mature person would realize that:
1) Not liking the plot isn't the same as there being no plot.
(Mind you, we can make the joke that the plot is useless/unnecessary, because ME2 is Shepard's Rock Band Tour.)
Or asking a question repeatedly which one feels relevant because it has yet to be answered properly, and can never be.2) Asking the same question repeatedly and pretending it hasn't been answered simply because one doesn't like the answers given makes one look infantile.
Googoo-gaagaa. Sometimes I need things explained to me as if I were an infant so that I can understand.3) Being infantile is a bad thing.

I wish tali was better. No special ammo, shotgun, AI hacking and combat drone with a super long cooldown *cringes* Her really useful skill, energy drain, comes too late in the game and by that time Legion is right around the corner, who is a better version of tali.

According to most of the people on this forum, it'd be give the girls less clothes and bigger breasts.
Me, for one, I disagree, but then again de gustibus et coloribus non disputandem est.
It's probably one of the reasons I don't take Miranda along, I don't find her attractive physically and I don't like her character either and I rather not have someone I don't like watch my back if there's a bunch of others I do like.

make more missions like the suicide mission, that is missions that incorporate other squad mates in specialized roles. That way it gives the illusion that your using the other squadmates i suppose
Or do like it was done in KotOR2, where you got to play all teams, meaning that you and 2 others go do something and you actually play it, and then you pick someone to lead the other team with 2 others and you actually go play it.
I actually expected this in the suicide mission, but alas.

In combat swap outs. How this works is simple: You have your standard 3 person team. But with the 2 that is your default members, you assign 2 others (1 per other member) to "act as backup". So, technically, the story would be something like we need to go to the planet surface to pick up some important item & we select the 5 members we're taking. But since we can only control 3, what happens is that if one of your squad members would get "knocked out" in combat (i.e. health reduced to zero), they're dragged off to safety & the person you assigned as their backup fills in for them. You still have to use your Unity ability to heal them to let them be ready if they get to switch out at another point.
A second option would be to have the very same principle as that, but build on top of it, taking it even further. Have a command in which you'd say "Garrus, I need you up here on point." All of a sudden, Miranda's icon is swapped out with Garrus' & she fades into the background/fades out until she's called again. This'd let Bioware make some potentially more complicated missions (re: "Tali, I need you up here to hold this door open for us, while the rest of the team goes inside." All of a sudden, Tali shows up and is seen using her omni-tool and fiddling with some control panel on the door, while the rest of the team goes inside.)

The squad mates are borderline useless outside of the powers they let you use, and of course Miranda buffs you. Making Miranda + whoever has the power that will best benefit your class as the de facto choice. Anyone who is relying on their squad for damage output is probably doing something wrong. Outside of the snipers, I find them all to be pretty useless against anything that's not charging you. And in the case of a husk wave, they can't put them down fast enough to be effective there either.

For ME2, I only once used Jack. I just do not like the character. I don't care for her. I prefer Tali and Garrus to all others, and sometimes I change it up, but not often. I generally let them do their thing and I do my soldier thing.
