Hi

I have an nVidia 3D Vision system and the game looks great but some things are rendered in the 2D plane.  I think the things are bloom effects (I have disabled high quality bloom) or a type of lens effect.  Is there a way of disabling bloom altogether?

In case it is lensflare I think I have found a few lensflare settings in the coalesced cfg file (it is hare to tell because there are not any spaces) but changing the one that says lensflare=true to false stops the game from loading.

Is there any way to disable these effects.

Thanks

Andrew

i dont know if this helps but I tweaked little around the ME2config file

that was located in:

.../Bioware/Mass Effect 2/Bio Game/Config

and in there look for

GamerSettings

open it and look for

"EnableLightEnvSHLights=True" without "-marks

change True to False and that should disable some of the lights

also changing

MotionBlur=True to False helps if you dont want some of that blurry things to happen.

Hope this helped atleast little, im a total newbie on tweaking files but this worked for me atleast a little :D

My fellow nvidia 3d vision users, the lens flare problem has been solved by Tritosine on the nvidia forum.

We need to make changes to:

File: Coalesced.ini
Folder: C:Program Files (x86):Mass Effect 2:BioGame:Config:PC:Cooked

First, backup the original Coalesced.ini to a folder somewhere, then delete the original Coalesced.ini....

Download this program:

http://www.mediafire...8538f5672f1b9df

Uncompress the program into any folder.  This program allows us to compile a Coalesced.ini file.. (You can't just edit Coalesced.ini using notepad, it won't work).

Now that the program is uncompressed you'll see a folder called Configs, navigate to it.

* Edit bioengine.ini in the configs folder with notepad, then find and change these parameters to the following:

LensFlareMaxOcclusionIncrement=0.00
LensFlareOcclusionStepSize=0.00

Now run the program ME2CC.exe as Adminstrator.  (right click it, run as administrator).

Choose the option to compile a new Coalesced.ini ...

Now it has the new lensflare settings.......

As much as I respect Bioware for leaving this backdoor open, they could of just gave us the info about the lens flare when the game was released.  Instead of helping the Stereoscopic 3D community they chose to ignore
us.
