Hard though as it may be, Leliana being my favorite character.

I mean add a new mission?, or continue the story after the end of the expansion
if it is a DLC-style warden's keep, as separate mission with nothing to do with the plot of the expansion, if not worthwhile
I also wonder that appearance will have leliana as a new partner (i doubt it), a mission with her,
or just a cameo as Allister or wynne
i prefer to be a DLC for DA: O, I don't like the new dialog system of the expansion

But the, if it is for DA:O, it also means that there cannot be any story progression. I don't know about you, but I definitely want to see what happens next, maybe as a bridge between Awakening and a second expansion pack, or directly Dragon Age 2.

So, is this dlc actually related to Awakening then? That is, do we access it from the Awakening campaign? I guess it would be odd to release an Origins dlc after Awakening has come out but "the dlc is a separate product" could go either way.
They said they'd be releasing Origins DLC for two years. Also, in selling Origins DLC, they can't make it dependent on Awakening. It's almost certain that DLC will be for Origins, and the Origins timeline, not post Origins

I doubt they would go "back in time" and make something from before Awakening... how would that affect a transfer? What about a level cap?
Awakening is clearly the continuation of the story, and I cannot see an event that is put in between the two chapters.
However, it would make perfect sense to make it *either* playable for after Origins like a normal dlc, and after Awakening.
So the dlc could work with both.

This would make sense, if it's just DLC I can't imagine anything from Awakening being particularly important.

Hope we have some sort of official info soon, but given the track of silent treatment, I'm not holding my breath.
Actually, bioware is in a curious and somewhat delicate position when it comes to communicating with us.
With RTO, they gave too little info during the delay and the board saw red.
With the epic community event, they gave too much info, and hyped it up and it backfired.
So, let's see them find nice a middle ground.
Something tells me though that this probably wasn't supposed to be talked about so early (provided the OP interpreted things correctly.)

Return to Ostagar - DAO_PRC_CP_1
The Stone Prisoner - DAO_PRC_CP_2
Feast Day Gifts - DAO_PRC_CP_3
Feast Day Pranks - DAO_PRC_CP_7
that's 3 DLCs in between that haven't been shown yet, but are in the works, otherwise why would pranks be 7 instead of 4 or even 5 if there was just one.
ya I know there could be more since wardens keep is DAO_PRC_NRX_1 but still just saying.

I don't want any real serious DA:O content that has to come BEFORE DA:A.
That'd be like getting major expansion stuff to Mass Effect 1 at this point.

Reaally ?
You guys really are a different breed from "old schoolers" like me if you actually think in that way.
There are people who still put in hours of their time and make free mods for BG 1. Yes, I said 1 not 2.
You guys move on from games very quickly, and the thing is, corporations just love it that way.
