They already necromanced all over Wynne. Why not everyone else?

Well, Wynne has the spirit of Plot and Device living inside of her. Everyone else isn't as lucky.

Does she really? You don't actually need Wynne for anything.
Uh, yea she totally does! Who else could have given you that one side quest to find that one mage chick? C'mon, Seagloom!

The only party member with plot armor is Morrigan, who is shoehorned in even if you told her to amscray.
Yeah, well...she has boobs. They're not magical, either.

Well, I liked the vagueness of the epilogue and the epic mist it seemed to raise around the Warden Commander and Zevran.
It wasn't just with Zev, it was with everyone. All the companions (well, most) are hinted to do the same thing. Makes me hope and pray for an expansion with Morrigan and all our old buddies.
That's exactly the reason why I liked the epilogue. Hope

@Godak - You're right. There's no way they could have called on Biff the Understudy to fulfill that role. >.< I stand corrected.
*Head pat*
It's okay, Sea. Not everyone can understand these things.
(Biff the Understudy?! Hell yeah!)

As far as I know, David Gaider wrote Zevran even in Return to Ostagar, no? And he wrote Awakening, so I'm guessing he wrote Zev's letter (given that this is what you guys are referring to). As I already said multiple times, I found both Zevrans prefectly in character, both at Ostagar and in the letter.
No, I don't think he wrote any of the DLC. He's stated before around the forums that he wasn't part of the DLC team. He might have written the letter for Awakening, though.
And I tend to agree with Sabriana about Zev being OOC in the DLC, considering how little he usually cares about the Warden's decisions in Origins. And if he does disapprove, he usually at least lets the Warden know why.
Edit: It'd be great if Gaider wrote Zev if there is new DLC, because David Gaider is awesome... but I'd still buy Zev DLC regardless of who wrote it. (and then whine about him being OOC in the Zev thread lol)

Yeah - I have to agree.
I don't want any real serious DA:O content that has to come BEFORE DA:A.
That'd be like getting major expansion stuff to Mass Effect 1 at this point.
Reaally ?
You guys really are a different breed from "old schoolers" like me if you actually think in that way.
There are people who still put in hours of their time and make free mods for BG 1. Yes, I said 1 not 2.
You guys move on from games very quickly, and the thing is, corporations just love it that way.
To be fair, and to dissect the mind of these "new schoolers" - or at least myself (and I'm not sure why I would have that title considering my age) - a bit for you ... it really depends on the type of game.
For example, I still play Little Big Planet - because that's a game where the player-create side is completely independent of any type of narrative. I've been playing that game for over a year. I'll still play a game like Pokemon (name whatever generation). It's a game whose narrative comes almost entirely out of the gameplay.
Dragon Age however, has a more embedded narrative. The story goes into detail and through alot of character development, much like a film. For me, my main character's story between the beginning of Origins and the end of DA:A is pretty much already written. I would approach a game like Dragon Age more like reading a book than playing Mario Bros.
That being said, there are plenty of good narratives that do go back to some midpoint when they tell their narrative, but honestly doing so with something as complex as Dragon Age seems too clunky. If I go back in time, and destroy the Ring Morrigan gave me for example, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense anymore since I have it in Awakening.
For "story-creation" based players who are like myself at least - the kind of people who read the books and so-forth, I'd imagine - the story has already progressed to a certain point for them, and they are waiting to purchase the "next" part.

On that note, are there any people here who where on forums when BG2 came out? How did all the "I thought I killed you." "Well... I survived." dialogues go down with the majority? Just curious.Lucy_Glitter wrote...

Yeah. ZombieWarden, say hello to ZombieWynne. She's standing over there with ZombieLoghain. Oh, by the way, here's ZombieLeliana.
Come on, everyone. Let's go have a cold one.

It was lame. I dismissed most of those moments since the NPCs at least acknowledged having died or possibly died after choosing the appropriate dialogue response. It was also easier to give it a pass because the level of continuity in sequels BioWare has recently demonstrated was unheard of back then. Yes, even the clumsiness of Awakening and ME2 in that area at times is leaps and bounds ahead of what was typical a decade ago.
BioWare raised the bar by attempting true continuity and now they have to deal with the consequences. Anything less is going to seem like a cop out. Take Throne of Bhaal for example. Its integration was virtually seamless. That in turn makes Awakening's approach feel haphazard to me in terms of how an expansion should interact with the base games.
My expectations are where the yardstick is currently at. It's BioWare that decides how high that is and if they are willing to take it to those same heights or beyond in future games.

I think you might want to reread what the actress said, and I wager she knows more about Leliana than you, or I, do.errant_knight wrote... They said they'd be releasing Origins DLC for two years. Also, in selling Origins DLC, they can't make it dependent on Awakening. It's almost certain that DLC will be for Origins, and the Origins timeline, not post Origins
I believe they can make it dependent upon Awakening if they wish too, and think they can make money at it. From what I know of the sales for Awakening they should have both the desire and money to do so.AndreaDraco wrote... [1]

- April 2010, Dragon Age: Origins Awakening, Expansion Pack. The character Leliana is in a dlc (downloadable content)
- This is all the info I have been given, that Leliana is not in the expansion pack but that a dlc will be available, sorry I can't to be more helpful. if I get more info, I will pass it on.
That is ok, I will be excited for you too.Terra_Ex wrote... If its another throwaway 5 minute DLC ala RTO I wouldn't get too excited.

I say this particularly because of the way that Leliana described Orlais, striking me as much the same as a French High Gothic style city. All those rose windows and buttresses would take impressive amounts of modeling, no? Even if they use an Early Gothic style, or who cares, a Flying Purple Dinosaur style, it is still a very new city, same with Antiva, and the models for architecture in the game at this time would just not fit. Maybe my degree is showing, but I'd personally be highly disappointed to not see some new architectural angle.

the romance will come back and they'll atleast add zevran and leliana on awakening im sure all the upset fans yelling at bioware is making it so hopefully they hear our crys for romance and classic dao charaters in awakening although i love anders!
So let's see, they release Awakenings incomplete, only to add the rest later on as paid DLC? And you have no qualms with this? Well, I guess the marketing department really is as brilliant as the poster above me said.
They know exactly what they're doing (with your money).Have fun, guys.
No not really i did at first when i didnt see leliana on awakening but if i have to pay 10bucks to add more to awakening then so be it.

I really can't wait for this DLC to come out. I don't care if Leliana has no new dialogue and she is just there as a companion. I am willing to pay $100 or $200 just to see her again... Though there has to be a (Kiss Her) option. That's all.
