 Hello,
did somebody tried to change language from english to another. Was able to change game language to czech but I am not able to change language of DLC content - I checked the Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Addins/.../talktables - and there are about 6 language pacs in each of DLC - but I am not able to force game to use them.

Any idea how to get it work?

(I mean how to get working subtitles for DLC - for Wardens Keep and Stone Prisoner)  It is much better to solve communication in my native language.

If you go to ~/Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Settings/DragonAge.ini

are both options set to your locale/language?

[GameOptions]

Locale=en-us

VOLanguage=en-us

For the more daring and possibly dangerous to your game so proceed at your own risk you could check the WINE registry settings by right-clicking the Dragon Age Origins.app and selecting Show Package Contents

Then going to /Resources/Preferences/system.reg

Find "language" and in my file I have:

[Software\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age]

"Flavour"="DVD"

"GameExplorer"="{numbers&letters&stuff}"

"GUID"="{numbers&letters&stuff}"

"Language"="en"

Could try changing the language option there?

I can't find anywhere with specific settings for the DLC as I would assume it inherits the base game language settings. It shouldn't switch languages afaik...

All this settings are set to cs-cz or cz

I am going to install dragon age on parallels and I will be looking for difference in configs I will post later some solution (I hope)

I think problem will be somewhere in config - because as I heard that in win version you can change language from LaunchMenu (or somewhere there)

You'll be out of luck: the Mac version does not contain any language pack other than the English one. That has been confirmed by Transgaming. More or less official responses to questions regarding other language packs were along the typical Transgaming line: "We are working on that. Promise." And we all know what that really means...

Hi There!

I know, this thread is quite old. But therefore I hope, things have changed and maybe NOW there is a language pack for Mac? Or maybe the normal language pack can be used like a mod?
Most of them work for Mac as well.
My main problem is: I don´t have the language pack, because I do not have any CDs (for Mac, there is only the downloadable version).
I allready asked the official EA-Support for help, but they said, they can only help with technical or mercantile problems.
They told me, I should try the official forum. Which I hereby do. ^^
Maybe someone of you guys can help me? Just the file coul help. Maybe.
Don´t know, if it would work with my Mac.

Thanks in advance for any answers, tips or hints!
Best wishes,
Alexandra

p.s.: sorry for the poor english. I did my best.  :unsure:
