1) Not using the cover system is completely op. I will refer to cover as full cover, which only allows you pop out from the side, and half cover, which you can shoot over. If you manually (don't use the cover system) hide behind then edge out slightly you can limit your angle so the only enemy with a direct line of fire to you is the one you are shooting at (on the right most side due the camera, usually). Meanwhile if you use the cover system and pop out to the right everything will be able to shoot at you - the cover system is only useful due to its bugs. This becomes excessive when fighting the Praetorian, as his weapon is in the centre, so you can just shoot his sides easily without being shot, circling around a set arena with very little problems, provided you don't let him get close and dash from cover to cover.
2) This gets worse because you can actually shoot enemies without being shot at back (or being completely impervious to damage/being hit) because you can shoot through cover - shots are fired so that anything from the crosshair will be hit (hitscan) but this is a third person game - shots are coming from you.
If you angle yourself right (often accidental with above trick, which came naturally for anyone used to playing certain old fps's) enemies will either ALWAYS shoot your cover and NEVER hit you (because it's physically impossible for them to do so) or they will just simply ignore you. Doing this I've noticed they seem to do a lot less damage to squadmates, and if all squadmates are dead and you are doing this, half the time enemies will just hide behind cover. Combined with combat drone they will pop out, be perma stunned and none of the npc allies will bother to help against the drone. Combine this with a 3 second cd drone that can last for far longer and it's possible to take out an entire room without getting so much as shot at.
3) If behind cover, even if the enemy SHOULD be able to shoot you, often they can't. I've had a laser beam (collector) hitting me and it did nothing. This was probably done to make cover useful, because otherwise it's pretty weak - just duck into cover and you become impervious to most/all damage from the front that doesn't come from a certain height angle.
4) T-cover (Basiacally corner squares) can be used so that if you use the cover system on the thin edges then shoot over the OTHER bar enemies will nearly always be unable to hit you, even if you can hit them with ease. (Hard to explain and I don't have ME2 on PC/capture card)
5) Engaging at long range breaks the game. On Horizon (this is why it's in a spoiler section) I backed away from the first harbinger encounter. They did nothing. Didn't shoot at me, didn't do anything. I tell Garrus to pull out his sniper and... he does nothing. So I zoom in with my pistol looking down to see Harbinger just... dancing left and right. So I just slowly kill him, and he dies, never bothering to fire back or do anything. Snipers are a bit odd, since for AI allies they don't have any longer engagement range with a shotgun
6) Speaking of which, giving grunt a shotgun and telling him to near an enemy does nothing. He will just sit where he is waiting for the enemy to die or sniping with his claymore - close combat weapons are near useless because your allies will only ever engage in close combat if an enemy starts it, and if an enemy starts it chances are it's equipped with close combat weapons losing you the advantage.
7) A fair few enemies just seem to be told to attack Shepard every second. Use a combat drone on Praetorian and it will spin around in circles trying to attack you; this glitch becomes deadly combined with the Scion, who tries to attack the drone, charges up, gets told to attack you by the scripting, then is forced to switch back to the drone temporarily because of its +9001 aggro ability.
Discuss, or don't. That would be more fun.
Sorry for the poor wording, wish I had pictures.
In advance, don't point out my wording/paragraph issues. Wanted to hurry up and get this written.
