I have finished the quests and have my party together again. I am down on the first level and can see the exit and the quartermaster on the map, but can't find any way to reach there! There is a door, which I can't open. Help please.

I am guessing you went back down after the Fade quest? Go back up and you will see another door you can go out into the other side and up another floor.
