Valve? Seriously?? I mean, I like valve games, but they haven't done anything in forever, unless I've been asleep and they did? What was the last thing they did L4D2? Not even a "must a play" game. Bioware keeps crankng out greats. I thought this would boil down to Bioware versus infinity ward ( or some other "in the moment" johny come lately developer). I don't even know how valve made it to the final. Lots of voter stuffing/forum spamming I guess. Bethesda and Bioware destroy valve for non-online stuff, and Blizzard destroys them on online stuff.

Valve's released 5 games in the past 2 and a half years off the top of my head. Portal, Half-life 2: Episode 2, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, and Left 4 Dead 2. This year they're supposedly releasing Portal 2. Plus they have a strong community - it shouldn't come as a surprise they've made it this far.

Personally though, I'll probably vote for BioWare if I'm not too lazy. I'm just happy Zynga lost.

Haven't really played much games of either, but of what I have, I prefer Mass Effect over Left 4 Dead, even though the latter is a damned good game.

However, both are dreadful for releasing updates and news for these games mentioned and put out some awful downloadable content.

They are "supposedly releasing"?? What the hell is that supposed to mean. 2.5 years is longer than some development houses even survive for in the game industry. TF2/Portal/HL2E2 was like 2+

years ago. And they havent released a single notable new series in that same amount of time.

Team Fortress 2 is one of the best multiplayer Games I've ever played...the fun ya have online is awesome...and L4D as well...for me Valve is the King of Multiplayer and Coop...while Bioware is the King of Singleplayer. Tough choice! Those are the only 2 companys I constantly play and dont even need any form of review cause I buy em on release day.

I would have rathered Zynga made it to the final and won-- so everyone knows how much faith to out in online polls. Rhymes with hero.

They intend to release by the end of the year. Doesn't mean they will.

The release from KotOR to JE was almost 2 years. JE to ME was 2.5 years. ME1 to DA:O and ME2 was over 2 years. Shouldn't you be complaining about BioWare's inability to release AAA titles as well?

Whoa. When I left for holiday break ( visited my parents who don't have internet) valve was losing by over 2000. Glad to see they pulled in the lead

So taking time to perfect products is something to hold against a company?

This is going to be really hard decision for me. Their games are the only ones in my top five favorite games OF ALL TIME! but I am going to go with Bioware, just because the have better console support than Valve. But Valve hasn't released TF2 content for 360 because they don't want to make us pay for DLC. GRAHHH, DECISIONS!

Get out there and vote [for BioWare], people! I can't believe it, but Valve's actually ahead right now. And don't forget to tweet about it. I think this should do it:

I voted for @biofeed in Round 6 of The Escapist's March Mayhem: http://bit.ly/aANIUR #escMM

I would say its a tie between the two companies, however Valve has Steam on its side, which makes Valve the winner.

Voted for Bioware. 'Cause I don't like all that much multiplayer games, more of a RPG gamer.

Tough choice, I love both companies. If it weren't for Mass Effect and the annoying delay of HL: Episode 3 I wouldn't hesitate to vote for Valve, but this way I'm compelled to vote for Bioware. Sorry Valve...

Blizzard didn't make the final this or last year, right?

So looks like the answer is yes.
