Hi!  I am a noob at the moment, but I am reading tutorials on the toolset.  I am interested in creating a place one can travel to.

The Idea is the glittering plane from Glen Cook's Black Company.

Ok to the point.  I got shale earlier today and I saw the son disable a magical force field.  I was wondering if it was possible to create large walls using it.  Like have towers that have the magical force field between them.  So that is the main inquiry I have.

Also here are a list of things I would like to try to add to the plane.

A single fortress.
Shale mesh that sits on a throne and it doesnt move.
Ghosts that move where-ever in between the walls.
Shadow creatures (probably shades outside the walls.
Magical gates that allow access to the glittering plane.
Random Standing magical glowing stones.  Like ones used in a circle around a fade pedestool.
A special item to allow entrance past the magical gate.

Voice overs if possible for the shale mesh.

I figure I need to make a travelable location to go there.

Any ideas about using the magical barrier/wall?
And if you have any idea about the other things I would love to hear them!

Thanks in advance!

P.S.  If you know of tutorials that cover any of the above that would be awesome also!  I am downloading: http://social.biowar...t/527/#details  Video tutorials right now.

Bump

Yeah I still need to know if the magical barrier is available or not. Is it a place-able only in the dlc or can it be brought into the game?

I think I figured out something. Invisible object, wide is a invisible wall. Now I would like to apply a fxa to it. How do you attach a fxa (fxa_crt_gr_f_sm_p) to a placeable? Beerfish said "fxa animations with a _p suffix can be placed on the ground or on a placeable."

Anyone with ideas?

well i dont see why not i have seen the two different walls because there is one activated when you talk to the cat as well .And i believe its the same forcefield as when you are in the tower where that templare is trapped in that cylinder thing before you meet uldregg. But i found a way through the force fields so they wouldnt stop me ha ha ha . Sounds kind of cool though good luck

EDIT: hey there is this one gamer goes by the name JACKFUZZ he has a few detailed tutorials that might help you out . And he will actually answer questions  without being an ass, lol. he is very helpful.

well the tower is not DLC and there is the cylender one in the tower so its just a matter of knowing where to look for it. So you can usethem . you might have to have concrete posts like it was where shales control rod word was, remember? But the only place ive seen a roof made out of the FF was in the tower. Maybe you could start with one of the cylenders and place posts around the middel part maybe two bigger circles and make like a maze of some kind. by placeing the FF wall sections in tricky ways , kind of like a house of see through mirrors. And for the key to get in maybe have it so you need to catch a crow(bird) that has a device connected to his foot that will open the place. because i know there is a mod thats uses crows . or you might be able to make it an owl instead. But ive never actually seen a golum sit down

so not sure how thats going to go. well there are some ideas for you . FF= forcefeild
