I'm trying to find a way to cut out area/creature noise in cutscenes so that the *only* sounds playing are those specified in the cutscene editor, but I'm not really sure where to look for this sort of functionality. Any hints?

If you look at the cutscene properties, there should be a property called something like, "Include area sound effects", or something like that. That might do the trick for you. If not, you'll have to do it the quick and dirty way, by deactivating those specific sound effects before the cutscene, and activating them afterwards.

Have you used this setting yourself? I'm not sure it exists. :P The only two similar properties that I'm aware of are "Play Sound Events" which is for playing the sound associated with animations in the cutscene and "Enable Level Effects", which enables/disables Frame Buffer effects from the level, rather than cutting out sound.

Ah well, I don't have a terrible complicated, uh, 'soundscape', so I suppose I can make do with deactivating the sound objects. So I can just turn sound placeables/audio volumes on/off with SetObjectActive, I presume.

Wow, yeah, I definitely misunderstood what that property meant (obviously, I never used it). Carry on, nothing to see here. Posted Image
