I am trying to go through the conversations with all the characters I have found so far, But I cant seem to get Sten to open up. After a while he just stops talking to me.
Does he open up more as he travels with you as I have just found him and got him out of his cage.

talking to him is like talking to a rock I hope he opens up a little the farther I get into the game.

give him gifts he like and quest a bit. Both can lead to opening new dialogues.

I prefer talking to Shale than Sten. Sten is more like a piece of rock than Shale is. Also, Shale kicks butt.

It takes a while, but if you keep giving him gifts he will eventually open up & give you a quest. Once you do his quest he will talk a little bit.

I got him to open up midway through RedCliffe. He approves of you making people (Lloyd, Berwin, etc.) fight with the militia. Giving gifts helps too.
