While the storage medium on the PS3 does allow for improved textures, the 2x blu-drive Sony put in the console means its read speed is less than the DVD drive used in the 360. Only when blu-ray drives hit 4x do they have better loading speeds.Mehow_pwn wrote...
Yes it does go check the reviews and ask people I myself was suprised how big diffrents it had too bad your too simple minded to understand that
So it's horses for courses really. Quicker loading times vs larger storage space.
Anyway to the subject at hand. I think having the Mass Effect trilogy hitting the PS3 could only be a good thing for the longevity of the franchise. The more people who are exposed to it, the more likely it is that Bioware will make more games set in the same universe.
Can't say I would buy it for the PS3 though. I already own 1 and 2 for both 360 and PC, so I'm not sure another version would be a good idea. Then again I'd likely give in and get it anyway.
I wonder why it isn't like that on the PC then?mjkjets wrote...
I'd really like to see this happen only
for the fact that we could play ME2 as Bioware originally intended. To
be able to recruit any squadmate in any order since the game would be
on 1 disc. My only worry would be the a possible drop in framrate as
seen in the PS3 version of Dragon Age.

You're forgetting a tiny, little detail.
I can't remember what it was... oh, yeah. You wouldn't have savegames to import. Ain't gonna happen.

...you do realize ME2 wasn't made completely dependant on imported save games no?
There are people who played ME2 without ever playing ME1.

Maybe Bioware didn't want to penalize 360 users since both versions were being released at the same time. You can see alot of the cut content from the PC version on youtube.

Way to miss the point, buddy. Yes, you could, but you'd never be able to play the whole story the way you want it, and since both 1 and 2 are story-driven games...
And way to miss the point that some people wouldn't care.
And once again NGS.
Granted its not likely but this whole "Never going to happen!" nonsense ticks me off. Its a possibility. What's wrong with people speculating?

Yeah, the last squaddie you can get, for example, has written (and voiced) dialogue for areas they couldn't logically be in. There was obviously a different recruitment order (if there even was one) earlier in development.mjkjets wrote...

It
would make just as much sense to remove the importing function, because
some people wouldn't care.

Now that my friend is your opinion, just that an opinion. Now I'm on record saying that I hope they do 1 and 2 for PS3 but only if we get God of War 1-2-3 on the 360.Mehow_pwn wrote...
As person who has both a good computer , xbox360 and ps3 I really think there is nothing that teachinally stops them since we ALL know that ps3 is a better system then xbox360
I really dont see any reason why they shouldnt do it. They would just get lots of people buying it.... Including me even tho I have on PC
Oh yeah the PS3 is such a good platform that Devs line up to do games for it...........No wait its the hardest console to program games for hence why alot of games which are multiplatform actually do look worse on the PS3. its a nice looking console just a B*tch to program for and thats Sonys biggest mistake with it. If it had been more user friendly it would have done way way much better than the 360.

Also: There's no saying that its completely impossible for BW to have a small questionaire available in the intro of ME2 (Along with the character creation screen) of all the important details form ME1.

And I don't see why they wouldn't bring God of War to Xbox 360
I prefer them not to because it would be an insult to PS3 fans, which I am a Xbox 360 fan, and would still offend me as a gamer
LOL your really havent seen god of war 3 have you? not even the trailer?... the xbox360 is too weak TOO WEAK to handle it sadly
And how do you know that? Just because YOU think so?
No because its god damm true and its been proven by many games.. that includes dragon age the v of dragon age for ps3 is way better than the degreded xbox360
My question still stands... And how do you know that? Just because YOU think so?
And which games HAVE proven that?
And no... Dragon Age DOESN'T prove that. The PC proves that.
Yes it does go check the reviews and ask people I myself was suprised how big diffrents it had too bad your too simple minded to understand that
Besides that there is MAG a game that can have 256 players in an FPS match like battlefield which xbox hasnt even come close too
Lol Battlefield is on PC and PS3 moron. And MAG sucks, and that's hearing from people who are hardcore PS3 fans.

That's what people said about FF going to Xbox 360: "It'll never happen!" Granted 13 supposedly sucks hard anyways but still....
...SO series too now that I think about it.
XD
Not trying to act like a fanboy or anything since i have both consoles but ff 13 is the first ff that truly sucks and this is the first real ff game on the 360...that's not a coinsidence

Microsoft was the original publisher of the series. EA had to get permission to publish ME1 on the PC. Microsoft likely still has publishing rights or has signed a deal stating that future instalments of ME will be 360 and PC exclusive. Sorry for the incovenience, Sir.
I don't remember any sort of EA markings on my ME PC box.
Do you remember Microsoft markings?
Maybe, I'll have to look when I get home, but I know there's a big EA mark on me ME2 box.

why would MS not want the original Mass Effect on PC? Last I checked they owned Windows and that was still their main income stream. Since it didn't come out for Mac or Linux doesn't it stay a "MS exclusive" even on 360 and PC

Wasn't the PS3 superior to the Xbox hardware-wise? Minus the processor, there was something wrong with it, iirc.
