Ok, so I've played through Dragon Age three times now, but I keep having this odd thing happen. Whenever I ask Morrigan to teach me how to be a shapeshifter, she shoots me down. I've romanced her, got her approval rating maxed out, given her all the gifts she's supposed to like a lot, the whole shabang.
And I still get shot down. It only makes sense that she teaches you how to be a shapeshifter, why else would Bioware put that dialouge line into the game? Plus all of the guides I've looked up say that she's supposed to. Is it a glitch? And yes, I know I can just buy the book that teaches the specialization, and I have (I don't find shapeshifting too useful anyways, I'd much rather the mage just does damage using spells). But I'd like to see that bit of dialouge unravel in game. If anyone has a tip or can even just confirm that it's a glitch I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

You cannot learn the specialization if she is inlove with you or has max approval rating. Ask her around the beginning of the game around lothering if you can get it so she would invite you to her tent. Around 75% or so should be enough for her to give it to you, other wise continue to ask her and choose one of the more jackass comments such as "I knew you'd be a b**ch" or "perhaps you should find the desire to" until she teaches it to you. Then you can just work her approval back up.

So it's not a glitch. Just the way I've been approaching it, got it. Thanks dude. Man, the people on Bioware's forums are so helpful. Thanks again!
