Hey, I just realized that it rhymes. ElectroWare. Care.

They could make a slogan out of it.

ElectroWare, ElectroWare,

We don't really, really care.

Makers of fail, makers of fail,

Andraste's ashes is a knockoff of the grail.

Come on! I have paid for the game, bought all of your download content and told everyone how wonderful you are bioware. Now since I have been such a good friend perhaps you could be one back and FIX THE GAME! Please? Thank you!

I haven't encountered any of the mentioned glitches in the 360 version. Played through DAOA twice now and there hasn't been a game breaking bug for me. DAO still has it's problems though. Sorry. I don't doubt that there are problems. I just haven't personally encountered any.

Dude, without a patch you can't fix stat errors and other broken game mechanics, but most of the minor glitches (loading errors and so forth) can be mitigated by installing the game to your hard drive.

Yes, perhaps you "never saw them". For example, when you start "Law and Order" before Sigrun's personal quest, you will never get it, because this one dwarf never shows up. And the 2 quests really have nothing to do with each other! That is just one example of a heavy quest bug.

What you wrote makes no sense in the "your words do not have meaning as you put them together" way. I pulled the Law and Order quest before Sigrun's quest and it worked just fine. Are you saying L&O bugs Sigrun's personal quest or the other way around or something else.

Like I said I didn't do Sigrun's personal quest so any issues with or related to that I did miss.

Still I've outlined most of the major voids in my game and it worked. Don't know what to say, sorry that my not having issues troubles you so much.

Sidney, bud, the problem is you don't explore the games you play.

There are tons of bugs. None are really "game-breaking" in the sen you can't push on and finish the game, but they are game breaking in the sense of removing a large chunk of the designed content.

There are bugs allowing duplicate unique items, and anything wade sells, missing items to complete the blackblade armor set, obviously, the bug preventing sigrun's request, and then a ton of bugs that just make the game sub par, like the still unfixed bugs from origins in which the stat used to determine damage on various types of weapons is either incorrect, or non existent (see crossbows)

The problem you're having understanding this thread Sidney is that you just don't think as much as the rest of the players, or are willing to pay too much for too little content.

There were a few times id have to save turn off the ps3 and wait a few hours in order for it to shut down whever was up with the game.
Several times I recall waiting up to 20 minutes to exit combat(two times from boss battles) when I know for a fact all mosters were dead sense i couldnt leave the small confined area they had bosses in that game, where an invisible wall wouldnt let me pass.
There were multiple times when some of the creates would randomly glitch and completely stop moving, including my own companions, I imagine they were getting stuck on random invisible walls, yes the companions it would happen out of combat and wasnt some stun from a monster.
Several times when id have to restart the ps3 when my companions were unable to pass through a doorway that had been opened while out of combat and while in combat, of which they could not pass through.
I dont know if you consider these "game breaking" but I had to restart my PS3 in order to get rid of hte problems, so i do.

Yeah I agree the ps3 version is tuff and all but with the game glitches and buggs it makes the game even harder.. I have been experienceing I can see the monsters but I can see through all the buildings and all the textures disappear Expecaly the dead leagion cant see anything have to keep routating the camera around and around until I can see the map and floor if I let it be The only thing I see Is my magic staff and the creature that is attacking me..

But no action is being visible to me and it black and can't see my group I don't know if they need health or what..I can see the far back walls and creatures and my staff but thats it and sometimes corners of the wall but thats the back wall.. I hope that enough info...

I have on;y played maybe 6 hrs its just to hard to kill stuff when your group is dieing and you cant help them..

I did Law & Order before I got Sigrun, which made doing her companion quest impossible :( Since I want to carry over into DA2 non-buggy decisions with party members and plot threads, I'm not finishing the game until a patch comes out. I just hope having been a fan since Baldur's Gate counts for something, but that's unlikely. Some bugs I can live with; I used to be upset at dex counting for only 0.5 damage on longbows, but archers are frankly overpowered now with Accuracy. Content breaking/changing ones I can't.

Oh but they are.     They used to be the best.   Neverwinter Nights was continuously patched for almost 6 friggin years.    They got up to 1.69 before calling it a day.

Not sure what  has changed to make them suddenly  unsupportive.  Oh wait. I know what happened,  EA bought them out.

Wow, I'll try and reach you on that high horse you are on but I'm not sure I can.

My wife apparently lacks my sense of exploration because she didn't notice it being "buggy" either - although she also didn't care for Sigrun and didn run that perosnal quest - we're just a good old fashioned dwarf hatin' family .

I suspect the problem isn't a lack of "exploration" but more a lack of OCD.

Duplicate unique items? OK, so what? Either don't use the dup or don't make it if more than one "unique" item frosts your muffin. This was like people who wouldn't shut up about some potion exploit in DAO that you had to go out of your way to do. Don't do it.

Missing set items? I assumed I missed finding that item so that didn't bother me in the least - I guess I don't explore enough to know I've covered every centimeter of the game so it MUST NOT be there. There was so much overpowered crap in DAA that I wasn't making sets in general because I was getting more by playing mix n' match. Maybe that bothers your keen fashion sense.

The damage stat is, again, something I would NEVER have known about short of griping on this forum. I don't know how the black box works and since everything I run into seems to die anyways I'm not all that horribly concerned. I guess I'm a lesser being but rather a bow does 50 dmg or 60 dmg doesn't change my gaming experience. I'm also not much of a min/maxer either so I'm not concerned by all the Wow dps and other goofy measures that so seem to fascinate people.

It sounds like the Sigrun quest is the only real bug that would concern gamers who don't wash their hands 12 times a day.

Oh wait, that that last comment a bit snotty, I guess I should explore my feeling a bit more thouroughly. ;)

The other one I'd put in the "major" category is you can lose all your PC's gear in the Silverite mines.

And yes, RPG playerscan be too much "gearheads" sometimes (there's always equipment to replace it with, sometimes thanks to the weird duplicated uniques, even the same stuff all over again) and you might not rank that as so big.

So it never hit you. Read the forums. It's hitting plenty of people. Some items trigger it and some don't. Not all the items are DlC either, so it's not exactly the same problem as the "DlC don't transfer" problem.

It is coming towards a month since release, and still nothing on a patch. These aren't small issues, these are major bugs. It's a bit disappointing.

I will give an example. When Obsidian released Storm of Zehir expansion for NWN2, it had MAJOR bugs. Like, it comepletely wiped out the MOTB voice files when installed. Within a day or two, they had a patch up that fixed the major bugs that were pretty game breaking. Granted, it was an ENORMOUS file to download, but it was there.

I am simply hoping that the delay in releasing a patch for the major issues in DA:A and 1.03 is due to Bioware collecting all the data on all the bugs being reported, and are trying to integrate as many fixes as possible into the next patch. Perhaps they are even looking for solutions to older bugs as well.

I would rather think optimistically on this, though it is a bit frustrating to wait. If nothing else, I hope they update the toolset so the modding community can start creating new mods and improvements for Awakenings.

I have no doubt it is hitting people (again I got all my stuff back but ran that mine in dread of losing my stuff)  but forums are always filled with people who are having problems - most of the time people who have no issues don't bother to post. I don't have an issue with them reporting their experience and I post mine so people know the problems are not universal. I finished the game, I enjoyed the game limited though it was.

I think the other thing that comes out when you get more explaination is that "bug ridden" means different things to different people. I can live with and tolerate the low/no impact bugs like missing armor, duplicate unique items and even the DEX issue while something like a bugged quest would bother me.

When I hear bugged I expect crashes, game or quest stoppers not nuisances. They're nuisances to me, for some people they're obviously a MUCH bigger deal. That information will help people mkae decisions about this game so people like me might look at this thread and decide "I can't live with those limits" while obviously some people can't.

Yeah, the "100% approval = neutral" bug is something the developers (and testers) should not have missed, and this makes me call this an unfinished product.

And another huge bug is basically not with Awakenings itself, but the toolset: when you import a character in Awakenings the save-game is far bigger then with a newly created character, and this makes it impossible to edit it in any way.
