Miri, dearest. I told you I have been trying to catch up with your amazing talent. And I finally got to pick one to read again. And I picked Caged, because my beta reader suggested it. I LOVE it! May I print it out? I gave a review for Chapter 1. I feel bad for writing my drivel when I could have been reading Caged. I am in love. : D:wub:

Don't feel bad - I've been reading your "drivel" and it's anything but! Print it out, play with it, do whatever you want with it. It's a fanfic after all and once it's out of my head it belongs to you guys
.
Edited to add: There's obviously something about this one that is grabbing more people than any of my others - I'd be interested in knowing what it is exactly! I'm getting lots of reviews and feedback and it's been amazing.

I for one love the unique concept. Maybe it is the telling of a tale we are familiar with but with (think Robot Chicken's M Night Shamalan parody) "with a twist!"
Aw, thanks for saying it isn't drivel. *blush*
But Caged rocks the house!

I MUST give a credit to another FF writer on FFnet - it's not an entirely unique concept. CJK on FFnet has a story called "Two Roads Diverged" in which Fem-Cousland is in hiding for the year rather than a warden and her story was part of the inspiration for Caged - it's a fabulous story and I recommend everyone read it as well, especially if you're liking Caged.
All of her stories rock, actually, so check them out. I'm not sure if she's on the forums though.

GAH! I have so many to read! Darn you talented people *shakes fist*. I have so many I want to read I find it hard to write my own! I have to give myself permission to read as a reward for writing my own. LOL!

I just can't bring myself to make it awkward and fumbling, even though we all know that's probably how it would have gone! I tell myself that it's templar discipline and probably lots of extra curricular reading on Alistair's part

Hero's are naturally good at everything they do.

Yup. And hey, what's the point of writing escapist fiction if you can't... escape a little?
Srsly!

Must be my routine and yours coinciding! I tend to post about 6:45am here as the munchkin eats her weatbix - I get about ten minutes of computer time while she spreads milk and cereal all over the table
