Mac was a wonderful dog.. he was big and scary looking, but super gentle. Would never hurt a fly, never barked (almost) and was relatively lazy hehe. He was also very, very smart, he understood everything you said to him, it was amazing, I've never before or since met a dog quite like him. Gentle, sensitive, intelligent...
They brought him home as a stray that was staying at a tire shop about 10 years ago now, and he immediately attached to me. Followed me everywhere, got sad when I wasn't around. We were attached at the hip. I loved him so much, he was such an amazing animal. He got real old though, he was probably around 14 and had health problems, hips barely worked, that kind of thing.
Having him put to sleep was an act of mercy, but one of the single hardest things I have ever done in my life. I have more pictures of that dog than I do of my family lol.
I name the DA:O dog after Mac cause he reminds me of him so much.
I miss my dog v.v

I am sorry for your lost. I know how you feel. I too lost a dog but this was when I was serving overseas. I couldn't be there to take care of him and my mom couldn't either. I cried every once in a while for him. But I'm okay now.
