Misleading dialogue wheel moments

Right now, the only things I can remember:
When talking to Ashley, she says her Grandfather was the one who surrendered the Shanxi garrison to the Turians in the contact war. The renagade response is "I see," which seems to be a more or less indifferent. And the sheps response more or less supports this, but he tosses in "his cowardice" which just makes it WAY different (you know, maybe the option should have been "he was a coward")
The other one is when the council first tells you off (they don't believe in Saren's betrayal). All three responses result in an insuboridantive (is that a word?) response that are all EXACTLY the same.
I know there are some other pretty bad ones, but what stood out to you guys?

So when I saw the dialogue wheel for the first time I was like ok this is different. And I made a choice. And then Shepard says something that doesn't even sound like what I chose and didn't even use the same words. It gave me a lot of "wait, what?" moments before I got used to it.

And the somewhat moronic times when the Neutral responses are EXACTLY the same as the Paragon responses.
If you just want 2 responses, then cut the other branch from the wheel intirely! Not too hard

I can't think of a single line that was actually the same as what I selected.

This is exactly how I try to play through my games, because full paragon is too much " lets save the universe for all the unicorn farts and rainbows", while full renegade is way too xenophobic for my tastes.xiMavrickix wrote...
They need a space scoundrel approach. I wanna be the good guy but not Luke Skywalker good, Han Solo good. I hate being the little goody goody as my paragon or the absolute terror and sometimes vile racist(xenocist?) as my renegade. I just wanna save the world and not give a damn.
I'll admit I've had a few wtf moments with the dialogue wheel, but I found that after finishing the game for the umpteenth time, I just got a hang of remembering what the general attitude will be just from looking at the options on the wheel.

This. When that happened, I instantly reloaded the game from my last save, which was unfortunately about 1h earlier. >.<

What's funny is that no one EVER speaks of it again. I mean, your squadmates were RIGHT THERE BEHIND YOU. Even if they got shooed away, they HAD to know what happened. I mean, not even a a snide remark? A little teasing? No? You'd expect Wrex to say something. I mean, it's WREX. A KROGAN. Even if the others were afraid of the Shepard-Pawnch, he's a goddamn Krogan. Gah.

You can be nice to her if you tell her that she is "out of line" (left side dialogue option) during the second conversation with her I believe. She won't try to start up a romance with you after that.
But yeah, the romances are simply thrown at you and you might easily start them without even realizing it, if you are a nice person.

Just thought of another misleading dialogue choice when I finished Emily Wong's first assignment. Chose the Paragon option because it was the Paragon option, and Shepard negotiates for more credits. That didn't seem very Paragon of him.
Well the "Paragon" options are actually Charm options. He/she uses his/her charm to get more credits - not everything "Paragon" is goody-two-shoes.

The Renegade option has you approaching another "Falcon Punch" moment and threatening her, so yeah, in comparison, hitting her up for more creds was pretty Paragon.
What I hated most was the existence of the neutral option which was simply the laziest, stupidest choice you could make at the moment with the worst phrasing. I hated it because if you try to speed through a conversation and go too far, you end up spewing nonsense. And then I would have to reload and do it again because that was never the option I would have picked.

I actually liked that. You could kind of see how she works: you were leaving there satisfied one way or another.

I recall reading somewhere (probably the ME Wiki) that if your love interest is in your party while speaking with the asari consort, they will comment on her attitude towards you and tell her to get straight to the point. This, however, seems to take zero effect prior to or after the intimate encounter with the consort. Your love interest will act as if nothing had happened, despite their confrontation during the conversation.Snaxme wrote...

I'm personally more worried about those random conversation loops than what Shepard may or may not say when picking an option. Really hate the loop bug, although it doesn't occur too often.
