I had to cheat on that one and looked it up on google. I used this very easy to follow solution.

Anyone who likes to figure out puzzles on their own, dont read this, but its not really a hard puzzle

Press H so your group members dont follow you. Find the three blocks that bring up two pieces at a time and remember them. Set one party member on the block that brings up the first two bridge pieces and the other two that bring up the single pieces that would make up those two pieces to make them solid. Move the fourth party member across to the second piece. Remove the party member on the first bridge block to the block that brings up the second set of bridge pieces, and i hope you get the idea because im to lazy to continue explaining

I figured out how it worked myself
Once that was done, the rest wasn't too hard.
Work out exactly what you need to do to make a bridge part solid - maybe write on something or use notepad to help - and the rest is easy.

what really? I mean come on why cheat on that? Takes only like 10 mins to figure it all out, just quick save every time you get someone across one more piece and go by trial and error. Not hard.

In case you don't understand the mechanics of it: Each button lights up 1 or more sections of the bridge. You need to light up the same section of the bridge twice to make it solid. Some buttons only light up 1 part, a few light up 2 parts, I think 1 lights up 3 parts (not sure on that).
It's a fun puzzle

Heh, took me maybe 15 mins to get get it done. Much reloading was involved so I didn't have to start over.

That's only partly true. Even if you light up two on the same side that light up the same section, it won't become solid. You have to light up the same section on both sides at once. That is, if you have two people on the right-hand side lighting up overlapping sections, it still won't make it solid.
