Definitely.  Rael receives a lot of hate around here, but he was still Tali's father, and she loved him.  Losing him is hard on her, and Shep will be by her side through the whole thing, helping her get through it.

What about the hair color? Everyone always makes fun of me for it, but my Tali has fluctuating color hair between Black/Silver; It's kind of like a mating signal. 

Actually i have always invisioned her having black hair mixed with a sliver luster for some strange reason.

Everything moved in slow motion: He could see the bullets as the struck their targets taking the life from more of his men. Alliance command wanted this mission completed at all costs but the price was already too high he couldn’t let it go on.

The rage swelled inside building into unbearable levels utilizing all of his training he focused it into a massive blast of raw biotic power, that would of made an Asari matriarch envious.

“Shepard, Shepard.” He could feel her slender fingers wrapped around his bare arm and it
brought him back to reality.

“I’m back Tali don’t worry it was just a nightmare.” He assured his love.

“It was Torfan again wasn’t it?” The concern in her voice cut his heart like a knife he hated it when she was upset.

“Yeah love it was it always is.” He replied.

Looking at the true concern on her face affected him deeply. This woman, his wife, so strong, caring and beautiful made his knees weak and his soul sing. She was one of the few people that could look past his title of
The Butcher of Torfan and see the man that he really was underneath. She accepted the fact that he had to complete his mission and that it wasn’t his choice to thrown his men to their deaths.

Every night the Dream haunted him. He could taste the tang of copper in his mouth and smell the fresh blood in the air. The screams of his dying men pounded in his ears clawing against his brain causing him to thrash and scream in his sleep.

Every night however she was there to pull him back to reality, to assure him that he did what he had to do and to comfort him by reminding him that he learned from his mistake.

He smiled at his wife “Honey I’m fine let’s go back to bed.”

‘Okay Dear.” Tali replied her eyes shining with trust and honest acceptance of the man that
is her husband.

Looking deeply into those eyes Shepard knew that he honestly could not express how much he loved and appreciated this beautiful woman so he simply said “I am honored to be your husband Tali.” and with that feel asleep into her arms.
This is just a pretty rough draft though i'll clean it up later.

I like. I have a hard time going with Ruthless because I need a reason as to why he did it. Maybe if he was a Colonist? Regardless, having more of a story, fan-made or not, would do a lot, especially if I ever had that background with a Tali romance.

Vengeful Shepard is vengeful, I guess

I don't know why but that's just how it would come across to me whenever i think about what color her hair would be.

Seems weird for someone who didn't know the person at all to speak at their funeral, but I'm sure he would mention how he did what he thought was best for the flotilla and his family, and the quarians are losing a good person.  Cliche stuff like that I'm sure.  I doubt he would bring up Tali, but he could say something about raising a good family and his dreams living on in Tali.

Regardless of your actual opinion on the person, the funeral is the time for nice things to be said.
