Miranda was always going to figure into the box-art. Hot human-female character whose looks and voice are based off of an actress who is part of a geek cult tv show phenomenon? No brainer. Plus the fact that BW was obsessed with trying to keep the identities of the returning squad members a secret (a poorly kept one at that) for as long as possible.

I would make my own ****ing box if that was the case.

Get whatever is needed, learn to fold the damn thing, get an artist, I don't care.

Which one gets more attention again?

Slap a shot of Tali with her hand on her hips and her chest thrust out, and ME3 will break every sales record ever set in history.

Thane's was good. Jack's was brilliant. Mordin's was spot on.

Grunt's... eh... it came off as being more... agressive... cocky.... less apathetic... I unno... didn't feel right.

I didn't care for Thane's. It made it look like a jerk-off, I think.
Of course, I only saw the shortened versions they showed on TV. Maybe the full-length version is better, I dunno.

The Box-Art and character trailers aren't designed to sell to anyone posting here, or anyone who played the first game in general. It was all designed to try and appeal to the Halo/COD/Gears crowd that respond to explosions and big guns and simplistic and straight-forward dialogue and characterization. Also playing up the main theme of the game: loyalty.
