It's the same arguement saying that Tali should remain faceless because Master Chief is. They are both very different characters who play very different roles in their own stories, in very different settings.

Tali and MC have only one thing in common. The camer cuts away when their masks/helmets are removed. Lazy trick, if you ask me. 

Well my understanding wiht MC is that (I have never played any of the games) he is you personally. So he has your face. With Tali she is not the PC. So all they are doing is teasing the fanbase with Tali.

I'm not sure they're teasing the fanbase. As Azint implied, showing the face in ME3 may be a reasonable attempt of something that adds to the progression of the romance.

I agree - they should be alien looking. No Asari clones. I am already taken out of immersion of the game with them.

Shepard was never advertized as you personally though. He was advertized as John Shepard.

If Keith David voiced another character, a turian or anything with that flanging effect, I would go gay for that character.

David Bowie is also an acceptable choice.

Although I havnt actually seen it myself, my brother says that in ME1 you can come accross a quarian skeleton. Aside from the differences in the hands and legs, he says it looks exactly like a human skeleton

So many people say this and I'm honestly curious how alien things can get when you consider the fact that their faces are already so humanlike.

Is anyone here really shooting for Tali being a shoggoth?
