Hmmm I like Zaeed personally. I had a DLC only Play through with Him and Kasumi when Kasumi came out.

Tali and Garrus tops for most of the positive listings.

miranda beating her out isn't hard to imagine some guys go for looks more than personality and backstory. Jack was the second favorite LI she was a strait up badass with a penchant for destruction. dangerous is always fun.

That was the major surprise for me as well.  I knew she was purposely polarizing in general, but didn't think that many actually hated her.

On the asari - it is hinted at, if not outright stated that we do not actually know what they look like. Listen to the bachelor party. They each see the same asari as a blue skinned member of their own species. This brings up an interesting point.

The POV of the game is as Shepard. Shepard is human. Ergo, Shepard sees asari as mostly human looking.

We do not actually know what the Asari look like. Probably Some sort of eldritch abomnation, judging from the tentacle heads.

Sure, but other LIs get plenty of hate.  Like Ashley or Miranda.  I was interested to see Ash's negatives.  They were higher than Miranda's.
