Sorry, uhd, but this has been a joke theory since the first day it was heard on Ilium.

The link?  Absolutely a joke.  That we don't actually know what the asari actually look like?  Completely 100% fact as presented in the game, thanks to that conversation.

All we know is that they are humanoid, and vary in color ranges of blue and purple, and that they are monogendered, have natural biotics, and have an exceedingly long life span. Other than that, we do not have a confirmation that what we see is 100% accurate - only accurate as humanity sees asari. The game confirms that different races perceive the details differently.

No.

For the simple fact that it doesn't work on krogan.  "They're so squishy.  Where are you supposed to get a decent grip."

There's also the whole armor issue.

Not to mention that this is the future. The Asari race would be able to be scientifically anaylzed objectively.

I was noting more that one could expect the more human LIs to enjoy wider popularity with the general population.

I forget who said this, but the point was memorable.

You romanced an alien, in a sci-fi game???

Like I've said before, I'm not going to play a game that is about the galaxy being your sandbox, with cool aliens and their beautiful women... just to bone a human. I can do that right now dammit.

It's man's dream to travel the stars, meet new cultures, and woo their women.

...Probably why non of them have contacted us. They know we'll take their chicks. B)

No, I mean really!  It's doesn't feel like it's just trolling or sour grapes.  There's something serious going on there.

And?  This does not invalidate the conversation - merely gives a PoV from the Krogan.  At no point does either piece of dialog invalidate the other.  All I am saying is that we cannot be 100% certain what we see of the asari is what they do, in truth, look like.

It is technically bestiality due to it being cross-species, but using it to describe the relationship is disingenuous.

Hmm, I think I know what our reactions were after the First Contact War.

Council: Welcome, Humanity, to the council races of the galaxy!

Humanity: Woa! There's more of you? ...Damn, this totally beats the hell out of Star Wars.

Council: ...Right, let us introduce you to some of the council races. Here's the Turians, which you've already met...

Humanity: Yeah... met.

Council: ...And here's the Asari, as you can see, they/we resemble your race quite significantly.

Humanity: Woa, woa, woa. Really?! They... Omg. I love space! What do their men look like?

Council: Uhm, technically to your species terms of gender, they're all female.

Humanity: ....Mother of God. *runs off to bunk*

Also am I the only one who found Udina to be more of a comic relief then a serious annoyance?

I hope that Udina's character is developed more in ME3 and he actually becomes noticeably competent.

Legion garnered almost no dislike or hate votes. 17 votes out of 808 voted for them. (hate/dislike)

I find Legion difficult to dislike.

Crazy Awesome: OMFG GETHSQUADMATE!

My liking of him has lessened somewhat.  Still cool and all, but I have discovered that the only five squadmates that retain my initial level OMFG are Ash, Tali, Grunt, Jack, and Garrus.

I have a little hierarchy for characters I like.

Tier 1: Characters I Like
- Jack
- Grunt
- Kasumi
- Zaeed
- Mordin

Tier 2: Characters I Love
- Wrex
- Tali
- Garrus
- Legion

You're right.  The drunkenness invalidates the conversation.  It's like saying that me drunkenly musing to a friend that maybe the internet is just one huge unbelievably complex chatbot or that everyone but me is telepathic and it's a conspiracy to keep me in the dark makes those ridiculous theories true.

A confirmation that they are humanoid.  Also, one could argue, a limitation of he game.  Intentional?  Unknown.  However, there is nothing I am aware of in the game that outright states that what Shepard perceives the asari as is the exact way they look.

If there is such dialogue, please link it.

He's tough to really hate when we get to see Anderson lay him out.

Makes one wonder what it is that makes them live for so goddamn long. Krogans I can understand, because of their regeneration, but asari? What is it? Biotics?

Oh wait. Nevermind. I just figured it out.

Mass effect fields.

Him completely screwing you over and dooming the galaxy had it not been for Anderson is not a good thing for his resume :?

If Shepard did perceive the Asari exactly as they look, I doubt they'd randomly remind the player in the codex.

As I've stated, I have yet to meet an asari character I really like.

Aetheyta is the only one.
