Thank ye kindly.  I'm really pleased with the reception it's gotten.

Normally? I couldn't care less about this kind of fic. Not my thing, and people usually **** up the personalities beyond repair.

I like yours though. Characters are exaggerated, but it's done in a constructive way, and it's humorous. Keep it up. You've surprised me in a most delightful way.

It's sad that there are so many other good characters... but they get overshadowed by Garrus and Tali...

Well damn this just hit me after thinking of Heart of Darkness. One of the main Reasons that i found Tali so appealing is because her character is Pure. That darkness that i get a sense of from most of the other squad mates just isn't there. Any one else notice this?

Absolutely such things are rare enough in good stories that dont over flow with cheese much less in real life. Tis most refreshing. Especially considering what she has potentially been through.

What struck me the most is the fact that the underlying lesson in that novel is: When you take a person who is constantly told how to react in society out of said society they "Revert" to more "Primal" instintcs.

So naturally with Quarians being as confined to each others company and their own suits,and always having to worry about the saftey of everyone else all the time one could logically assume that when taken out of that enviroment they would revert to those darker emotions and ways of thinking.
With Tali however there is no sense of this happening at all.

I still wish you could "Renegade" and "Paragon" more characters in 3. You could do it a bit with Garrus, Ash, and Kaiden, but I'd like to see it more fleshed out.

Teach Grunt honor, or teach him savagery.

Have Garrus become a spectre, or the head of C-Sec.

Have Tali Support peace and join the Board, or kill the admiralty board and put her in charge of the quarians.

Have Legion and the geth stay on the quarian worlds and have them help them rebuild, or let them go become a Reaper.


Things like that.

*Samara has a quizzical look on her face, before smiling in a grandmotherly fashion.*

Samara: Tali'Zorah. A moment, please.

Tali: *Still holding Shepard's ankle* Yes Samara?

Samara: I am of the impression you and Shepard have... *looks down at Shepard's bruises and welts*... become intimate. I'm happy for both of you.

Tali: Um... thanks.

Samara: Also... I have some old commando leathers lying around, lots of belts and straps, should you ever wish to try new things.

Tali: Seriously?

Samara: *Gestures toward her outfit* I wasn't always a Justicar... you know. You think I wear high heels and a low cut suit for survivability? I'd also be willing to show you some... techniques... I learned over the years.

Tali: Thank you Samara! I'm sure Shepard would love that.

Shepard: *silently sobs*

*Tali drags Shepard away, leaving Samara alone.*

Samara: Shepard, you fool. *Smiles to herself* The last time I was with a quarian, I didn't leave the hospital for a month. Goddess give you strength. You'll need it.
