I would add the the Krogan are not above sexual intercourse with other species, but it's not taken as seriously as mating with one of their own. Sex outside of the krogan population is mostly only for pleasure; a few examples to the contrary not withstanding as there are always exceptions to the rule.

Because of ther near-sterilzation, the krogan would likely view sex as more of a recreational activity. Unless they focused it to be done for the purpose of reproduction, which they should already know to be a doomed effort. I would not at all be surprised krogans get into big reptile orgies reminiscent of Fear and Loathing Las Vegas just to get whatever they want out of it.cannedcream wrote...

Isn't natural that one race, in a galaxy full of species, would eventually come out as the "most bangable"? When you take all of the races into consideration, and then add in what they each find desirable, you are inevitably going to end up with a race that is generally seen as good-looking to the universe at large.
I will give it to you that its... ?odd? that the "naturally sexy" race resembles humanity, but thats just human nature at work.

Trust is the hardest thing to give to another.
To love someone is to be willing to take the chance to open up completely; to show all of the flaws and emotional baggage that we hide beneath fancy cloths, hair gel, make-up, and what have you.
I'm much the same why where I'm highly reluctant to open up to other people, and for good reason. It can be soul-crushing.
Personally, I believe that if you love someone and if they love you back, that's a beautiful thing and things like race or gender should not matter.
Too many close-minded people running around and telling everyone else how to live their lives, but it seems like each generation keeps getting a little better.
Maybe one day people will just be allowed to live without a bunch of political bullcrap.

I don't care very much about the asari. I get they're an homage to "hot submissive alien eyecandy" of sci-fi culture... but it feels more like that's their entire basis as a race... where as the quarians, turians, krogan, and others have far more interesting backgrounds. Yeah... girls with blue skin is hot and all... but come on... that's it? And brain sex? Total cop out. Sex with Tali and Garrus is interesting because you have to accept that it's going to be ****ing WIERD. It's gonna be awkward. Working past that is important. Nulling that step by making them basically blue humans who you just have to touch seems cheap to me.

Are we sure the Krogan even ENJOY their sexual practices? Wrex constantly refers to sex within his species as "mating" or "breeding". He never uses a more intimate term. For all we know, it could incredibly painful. Or deadly.

i think reproduction is also a status thing for krogan (like the scout who says when you find him that he's not big enough to go to the females.)Azint wrote...

Well it's unfortunate that we only ever get to see human and quarian females and not the other races because then we could get a better grasp on how each race would view sexuality as a custom. What peeves me is that the asari are reknown for their sexuality and they are considered the most desirable ebcause of it. Their culture seems to be partially built around sex, and we never get to hear the opinions of other races about their own ideals.RedTracer7 wrote...

BioWare tried to play the Asari as the most sexually craved species. Even Liara once said "[Humans] have an unnatural obsession with my species".

We have to remember that Mass Effect is about saving the galaxy, defending humanity, and stopping the Reapers. Romantic sub-plots were kind shoehorned themselves into the plot in ME1, and ME2 only got marginally better (although your range of choices got MUCH better). What we need, for this discussion to end, is an actual backorder of Fornax. For the articles, of course.

I whole heartedly agree. I can count on one hand how many times I've met two people who actually loved on another. It's a very low number. I've never loved anyone outside of family, and I sure as hell do not trust my family.
So yeah... relationships you consent to... those are important to me. They're supposed to be. Most people just want something. Sex. Kids. The "Dream Life". I'd settle for not being alone. Contentment. Too many people are looking for more. Race, ethnicity, money. idealism. Parents didn't even want my sister and me dating african americans until we had moved out... should have seen them when they met my sister's boyfriend. People don't seem to actually care about whether or not two people simply love one another... there always has to be conditions... they're always a catch. Nobody is ever content to just be content...

Not really sure about that.
The only evidence I can think up right now was the krogan on the Citadel mentioning that eating a fish from the lakes would be like screwing the consort.
