How did I know that's exactly what you'd post?

Because it appears we both watch Metalocalypse?

Stops copies me!

Incidentally, I can do a fairly good Skwisgar and Murderface.

I do a good Pickles, I think.

Hatredcopter was great.

I whole heartedly agree. I can count on one hand how many times I've met two people who actually loved on another. It's a very low number. I've never loved anyone outside of family, and I sure as hell do not trust my family.

So yeah... relationships you consent to... those are important to me. They're supposed to be. Most people just want something. Sex. Kids. The "Dream Life". I'd settle for not being alone. Contentment. Too many people are looking for more. Race, ethnicity, money. idealism. Parents didn't even want my sister and me dating african americans until we had moved out... should have seen them when they met my sister's boyfriend. People don't seem to actually care about whether or not two people simply love one another... there always has to be conditions... they're always a catch. Nobody is ever content to just be content... :(

No kidding. I've only seen one couple (outside of my own parents) who I KNOW are going to make it. Every other relationship I've seen my friends in when they said that they 'love' so-and-so, I just roll my eyes and wonder how long that's gonna last.

Don't get me wrong, sex is nice, but it's not an all-encompassing thing for me. I've turned down relationships because I knew I didn't love the girl and I wasn't loved back. The one time I did say 'what the hell' and went into a relationship I knew was going to be emotionless, it ended very badly.

Not interested in kids, but I'm not 100% against them, either. I'm neither emotionally or financially ready for them now, though. I once worked at a photo studio, as I said before, everyone there but me had kids. When I was asked if I had any, I said no and wouldn't want any until at least 30 or so. They looked at me like I was crazy for waiting that long.

I like that. It's sadly very true.

ok, seriously guys, you should give it a rest because, contrary to what i thought was possible, you have driven my mood down more than it was.Posted Image

For some reason, all I can think of is Lady Isolde's voice with the disortion, which is actually kind of a turn-off.

Another reason why I generally hate people. We all want more but no one wants to deal with responsibilities, relationships go bad because one half or the other just gets sick of dealing with their opposite. I've already been in a relationship that classified as a fling, it was dull because there was no engagement. Everyone is going about distracted by petty subjects, materialism, idolizing, etc. Sometimes I feel everyone should lose something important to them just so realize what they actually need to take care of.

Yeah, well I'm sure it features quite a few "hot-boxes"....

Do you really ask these questions in every world-building project you come about?  Do you ask how the Orcs in The Lord of the Rings get it on, or how Wookies in Star Wars do the horizontal monster mash?

The romantic subplots in the ME series allowed most of this information to come to the forefront.  Without them, without Tali, I don't believe we would be having this conversation (besides the obvious, that we would have never found each other across the internet).

I guess what I'm trying to say is that Xeno-sexual practices are tertiary, at best, in the grander scheme of worldbuilding.  Now, with that said, I must state that I would also like to learn more.  Its interesting, and lets face it.... -HHNNGG-

*rimshot*

You know, I've never cared more about the minor working of a game universe than I have with ME. Even with all of the codex entries and the discussions we have here, I always find myself wanting to know more about that universe. Even the most mundane of things somehow take on a more interestingly light when I see how they weave in and out of the rest of that world.

I agree completely, CC.

I agree completely...

Very true.

However, I find my self content. It's like "ignorance is bliss", I simply do not give a goddamn what other think, and if they have a problem, they better address me, or I will address them. My family tends to be full of 'nit pickers' who don't come right out and say they have a problem, they just pick at you for a while until it becomes apparent what they do not like.

So what did I do? Fell in love, some didn't approve, I gave them the finger. Told them to stfu or gtfo out of my life.

They stfu'd.

Now I know what to do with Slave Girl Quarian, once I buy her...

*A Knock on the Cabin Door*

Shepard: *Laying with Tali on his bed*  Come in!

*In Walks SGQ, dressed as close to a French Maid as she can be*

SGQ: *Featherduster in hand* Just came in to spruce up!

*Tali, her silver eyes flashing from the other quarian to Shepard, growls*

Shepard: Erm....

Tali:  You had better start explaining...

Shepard:  Erm.  Eh....  We were out of Cerberus-y uniforms...?

Relationships are hard work. TV and books and movies make it all look so easy, that everything just happens and it's always peaches and sunshine.
The truth is, the more you care about someone, the harder it is to be with them.

I've already lost someone important to me, so I think I can appreciate the point you're making.

Personally, when I think I might have an interest in someone, I always to try to imagine if this is someone I would be willing to go through Hell for, because sooner or later it will happen.

But then again, I've always been sort of a pessimist.

I'm not exactly rolling in optimism, you know.
