It's possible then, that Liara "joins" the Normandy after the Shadowbroker stuff is done with, but isn't a squadmate. If you romanced her (and stayed faithful), you may be able to call her up to the cabin.

Wonder where she'd hang out while she's not (ever) being called up to the cabin.  The table in the armory?

I don't know, maybe she just isn't there unless you call her up. Or she can stand around in the science lab.

Also, if this ended up being true, the rage from the Ash/Kai folks would be a sight to behold.

I don't think so (if you're referring being able to call Liara up) - that is, unless somehow it's confirmed that Ashley/Kaidan won't get similar DLC (in which, rage almighty).

otherwise I think the Liara DLC ending with Liara being recruited would raise hopes for the Ashley/Kaidan folks.

i think you guys are overthinking this
the dlc is probably just a few missions
they wouldnt let you recruit your past love interest through a DLC like that(although i do expect some sort of reference to your past relationship), the romance subplot is gonna continue and conclude in ME3 (it just makes logical sense)

For what it's worth, I agree with you.  But outrageous speculation is fun, so...

This is BSN.  Everything is worthy of rage.  Everything is a sign BW can't find their collective butt with both hands.  Just sayin'.

ok playing along; yeah it would be cool to have tali and liara have some sort of confrontation, and it is possible that these missions are actually liara's recruitment/loyalty missions. i just dont want the DLC to be short, like the overlord which i finished in one sitting >_>

If we are off-topically talking about DLC, I'll just say now that I much prefer the way DLC works with ME2 than ME1. X57 had like an hour of gameplay, and Pinnacle station was pretty pointless. I could get survival times of 10 minutes on Hardcore.

Indeed, I have been playing Bioware games for a long time, I've learned to just 'roll with it' as they say when it comes to changes and announcements.

*edit* Also people don't realise how ridiculously good value Bioware DLC is compared to the map packs for most multiplayer games.

id have to disagree on that, (no im not a COD fanboy, i quit that game months ago) but map packs provide endless replayability, biowares dlc is fantastic, but its a one-time thing, unless of course you replay it but its never the same as the first time

I just don't like how every DLC is made so it can be done at any point after getting the Normandy. It feels like they have no connection at all. (Which they don't)

The Shadowbroker DLC should feel connected to the plot. The Shadowbroker is pretty important. Though, it may be not connected to the main plot of ME2 specifically.

This.  OMG, the histrionics over Firewalker made me furious.  It was free, people.

well theres not really gonna be a plot if youve finished the game. i think thats what someone with mass was saying;the dlc probably doesnt feel connected because youve finished the game

I know. Though technically, they saw the firewalker DLC as a paltry offering of the $15 Cerberus Network thing.

I actually enjoyed it. Just wish they made more missions involving Hammerhead...

Does any DLC on any game really make it so you can't play it whenever? Most DLCs on games have things completed unrelated to the story anyway.

Besides, Bioware said they were making DLC to bridge the gap between ME2 to ME3, so that's pretty generous.

Neither do the anomaly side missions.  I just look at Firewalker/Overlord as big side missions.  Almost like those multi-planet deals in ME1 like Geth Incursions or whatever the thing that nets Tali's data is called.

I love the platforming with the Hammerhead, but the combat is awful.

It was just a test to see if the Hammerhead worked properly.

I haven't spent my money to play a platform game. VERY disappointed in every aspect with the hammerhead. Of course, that is my opinion.

Zaeed, Firewalker, Eviscerator/Cerb Assault Armor, Arc Projector, Collector AR/Armor...

Am I forgetting anything else that was free on Cerberus Network?  Because that's looking pretty good for $15 (if you didn't just get it with the game).

The only game that I can think of is Fallout 3 and the Broken Steel DLC.

Still. Wouldn't hurt to try.

Collecter AR/Armor is if you get the Collecters Edition. Besides that, I'm pretty sure that's it.
