I'm not saying that I don't find Jack interesting.  It's just...I've always found the aliens in Mass Effect to be more interesting than then humans, because I can't read them like a open book. It's a little hard to explain.
If I played as femShep, I'd probably pick Garrus over Thane for the same reason as I pick Tali over Jack.

Eh, don't pity me too much, goat. You get used to it. As for compatibility, I'm somewhat dubious of Tali/Shep's long-term prospects if she was exiled and the quarians remain pariahs. The pair of them are going to be despised, and there really isn't a "safe space" for them. Combine it with the suit and you've got real trouble. It's going to take a different kind of heroism to make this work. Ah well, they do say nothing worth doing is ever easy.

Oh yeah, the potential of Shepard and Tali at least reproductively has no prospect (not that adoption hasn't been covered in the world of FF). But we've discussed the whole exilation a couple times. Generally, at least I'm convinced, that the quarian's would be contented seeing their highest honored quarian with the savior of the citadel and galaxy. It just seems that no matter the events of ME2, Tali's home is the Normandy, and I certainly don't see Shepard anywhere else, either, for awhile at least.

I feel off about Liara's romance because her lifestyle doesn't seem to fit Shepard's. She's a scientist (who can obviously fight) but a civilian first, and Shepard is military.
