The thread has been around and around on the topic many times.  Some don't like it because it makes us, as a group, seem weird or creepy to have this preoccupation with convoluted explanations for freaky hybrid babies.  Some don't like it because the topic gets people heated.  So usually it's just not mentioned.  We ordinarily just ignore the opposite viewpoint and carry on civil discussions around it.

To be honest, at least for me there's no ''fascination with a biological child'', i was just curious that if it was POSSIBLE. But people started adding it too much biology. I'm kinda sad because of it now, a lot of guys seemed to be bored/sad because of this stuff.

Okay, well, even if you're new, you've probably figured out that there are two schools of thought on the subject:

a.  the basic biology bunch:  characterized by an understanding that most species can't breed on earth (or, not viably, at least), and thus species from other planets are even more impossible.  And that's before we get to how the species in question's genetic code (which may or may not be DNA like our own) is assembled BACKWARD from our own, thus making joining impossible by any reasonable sci-fi stretch.

b. the magic Mordin mob:  So-called because usually they assume Mordin will produce a miracle that negates all the basic science mentioned above.  Even without Mordin, the assumption is that "it's sci-fi so it can happen" is their argument and final fallback.

And yes, says the father.  And having struggled greatly before basically giving up on having children of my own, I like to think I'm at least somewhat qualified on the subject.
