LOL @ Samara and Zaeed glaring at each other.

Without Shep, they'd kill each other for sure.  Or have hatesex.  One or the other.

Well there's an interesting mental image that is now forever scared into my brain.

Samara: Zaeed, I've been meaning to speak with you.

Zaeed: What? You gonna lecture me on morals and justice?

Samara: No...Well, it somewhat deals with that.

Zaeed: Well then spit it out then, woman.

Samara: You're so...so dirty. You're a dirty boy.

Zaeed: *Raises brow* ...Excuse me?

Samara: *Pushes Zaeed against the wall* ...In my line of work, I have to keep things clean. People clean. You...You're so...so dirty. I-I love that.

Zaeed: You're bat **** insa- *Samara starts making out with him* mmmfffhhmfffff!

Samara: DIRTY BOY! DIRTY DIRTY!

I was thinking that the darma, pageantry and elaborate culture of the medival China was a nice match, but the warfare was far too huge and brutal (I have this theory that the relatively fragile quarians kept their wars fairly small).  That's where the economic (and literal) backstabbing of the Most Serene Republic comes in.

They can't live on most other planets due to their immune systems.

Wrex shed a tear for Shepard when he learned that Wreave won't be sending any mating requests for Shepard.

Tali says their immune system was never as strong as the other races, though.  But yes, it only really went bad during their exile.

Infection was a huge cause of death back in those days.  I suspect (and, this is just a theory, since we don't have any actual information) that it was worse for the quarians.

Their immune systems is probably why the Quarians were never really an empire. They only had a small sphere of influence - a set of planets that they could actually live on.

Shepard: Woa! What the hell was that?

Tali: It sounds like gun fire coming from the lower deck!

EDI: To clarify, the sound came from Zaeed's quarters. Cargo.

Shepard: We better get down there and check on him.

--*Shepard and Tali arrive outside Zaeed's door, hearing the sounds of him struggling*--

Shepard: ****, the old man's probably having a heart attack, we better get in there!

Tali: Right! *Opens door and the two rush in*

Shepard: Zaeed! Is everything alrig- HOLY MOTHER OF CHRIST IN HEAVEN!

Tali: *Drops gun and covers face* KEELAH! IMAGES. IMAGES. *Walks out embarrassed*

Zaeed: HELP...ME...MY PELVIS! MY GODDAMN PELVIS!

They're not actually a bad match. God knows they have roughly the same amount of stories, in spite of the massive age difference. Actually kind of reminds me of another odd couple:

Matriarch Aetheya: My dad fought in the Rachni Wars. My mom fought in the Krogan Rebellions. Dad boasted, mom stayed quiet.

And, of course, keeping in the fine tradition of Tali Thread: After Dark...

Matriarch Aetheya: Sometimes mom would put on the old commando leathers for special nights with dad. Goddess, that was embarrasing.

Do with that mental image what you will. I'm sure Samara has her mercenary leathers around somewhere....

To be honest i really think if Quarian medicians get to research hard on that part of medicine they would upgrade they immune system. They created the Geth, that means that their technollogy inteligence is highly superior than we think.

If AIDS is a deficiency of the immune system, would victims survive if they had enviro-suits? Hmmm. Sorry if this is tasteless. Just thinking.

Well, sure:  they're like 2000 years ahead of us.  But I'm still talking about when they were stuck in the medieval era.

Well, they can live on many more planets if they wanted to. Their problem is that housing for any environment more volatiel than their own world would require a high degree of maintenance. But if you think about it, that appears to be done anyways for any race and their colonies.

true but barbarism knows no bounds just like us i could see them being rallied to fight even with the chance of  infection since they were alot more of them and they werent as unified as the flotila.... just a thought i like were this is going thoe..

The Quarians also had the mistake of programming the Geth with self-improving code and not being prepared for them developing past the boundaries they intended.
