Well they could make Garrus go through a completely ridiculous character change, and go from him being great friends with Shepard to instead irrationally focusing on a personal grudge that means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Character change...? I didn't notice one with Garrus.

Then again, I always went renegade with him in ME1 so...

I agree that there isn't really any believable way to take Garrus or Tali off the team, my point was that there also wasn't any good reason to take Liara off the team either.  They chose to just completely change her character instead.  So while it would really hurt the game overall, they could do something like that again. 

Not saying they will though.

And Legion is Shepard's only contact with the geth, they can not introduce a character like so late into the game then just write them out.

That and the entire point Legion was built in the first place was to find Shepard.

The Crysis suit is pretty cool.  But not as epic as T-51b.
